Looking at the price in Brazil i.e. $4360 (taken from the ownership thread of cb300) and if we take that as sort of base price , It would easily cross 1.1L mark. Letsee how many takers there after knowing the price

Edit: Not sure if the price told by the owner was in USD or Brazilian currency. Conversion based upon taking it as Brazilian currency

cost factor comes to a new level when companies will take components on a national basis.

so they will revise prices if they launch here.cause our component prices and their component prices vary.right from import,to octroi, other etc etc included.

or may be i am wrong.

Yeah it isn't that just a simple straight calculation but also looking at the prices of bike in India having 200cc+ and EFI [taking p220 as the only example which is very close to 1L], the price of this one might just be more than 1.1L

If its ever brough to India, this model might not find a decent number of takers at more than 2 lakhs. Majority of Desi bikers according to me has a thing for Full Faired bikes.. but a Naked might not be able to charge the required premium.

I looked at it on another website, it says the price is 11,490 R$
which is about 5900 USD or about 2.8 lakhs

The bike looks good. Will it be launched in India?

I think that we need the CB300R in this country, price is secondary in this context coz Yamaha made a comeback with the R1and MT01 at 12lacs(which clearly shows that there is a thrist for power bikes in India), then the R15s and FZ followed...

We need these bikes so that there is a smooth transition from the regular 150 to 200 cc bikes to the premium class ones....

Straight conversions are usually incorrect. Prices in India will depend on a lot of things. Esp how competitors price their similar products. If Bajaj prices Ninja at 2lacs+, even if the 300R costs 1.1lac in Brazil, i'm sure honda isnt going to pass the opportunity to make more money by pricing it less than the Ninja.
