Pulsar 220 Gets A Smaller Engine!!

Tuesday, May 19, 2009

Pulsar has been a major hit in the market; it comes in four variants: Pulsar 150 DTSi, Pulsar 180 DTSi, Pulsar 200 DTSi & Pulsar 220 DTSi. Bajaj Pulsar DTSi comes with a throttle actuated ignition-control system that works in conjunction with a chip-controlled digital capacitor discharge ignition (CDI) system for accurate ignition timing under all conditions.

Now Bajaj India has unvieled the upgraded model of the of the Pulsar 200 in response to the TVS Apache RTR 180. The new model of Pulsar 200 is expected to generate maximum power of 19 Bhp with maximum torque of 18 Nm.

The new model borrows swingarm from the 220. the Visually, this bike looks strikingly similar to the Pulsar 220 but a trained eye can quickly spot the difference. Bajaj have once again mixed and matched a lot of components from its portfolio to make the 200 Fi appear even more muscular. The new model carries over the 'all black theme' from its younger sublings.

Bajaj has also upgraded the Pulsar 150, Pulsar 180 & Pulsar 220. Click here for more details of New Pulsar 150, New Pulsar 180 & New Pulsar 220.

Temporarily Approved

Does not look too convincing to me. Looks too speculatory as of now. If there is not much solid proof, will be reviewing in a few hours wherein this would have run into 16 pages I am pretty sure!

@MODS: News is dated May 19th. More than a month has passed since, and Bajaj has clearly unveiled the bike to be launched.

I believe the above news from MaxAbout is purely speculation based, as at that time there were all sorts of rumours flying around about the speculated 200 with fairing from Bajaj.

To avoid any unnecessary confusion this thread deserves to be locked until there is any further concrete news!
