Default Mahindra Two-wheelers' aggressive plans

Mahindra two-wheelers has chalked out an aggressive plan for the Indian two-wheeler segment for the next year. The company has decided to roll out products that are inclined towards not only the fair sex, but youth in general. The Flyte 125 was reintroduced sometime back and is currently selling around 3000-3500 units per month. The next step that MTW has taken is to junk the 165cc Blaze scooter as it feels high capacity scooters don’t have a market in India. The company also wants to axe the Italjet line-up and will focus on SYM offerings for the time being. Mahindra is also looking at launching a completely new scooter in conjunction with SYM later this year.

Well, I'm not an Expert, but somehow I can't smell aggressive sales numbers in the scooter Market, not to mention the presence of Honda, Suzuki, etc.

and what is this about. Will the comet come back?? :-->

i feel the website is just a copy paste from old KINETIC website! They mite have retained the comet thing still!
i had once (year ago) asked a kine dealer about the comet n aquilla, he said they were not selling the bikes n the website is not updated except for the Flyte scootrette!.

Whatever the plans, it should have a component called 'Customer Focus', Kinetic customer focus went down from excellent to worst after Kinetic-Honda split. Mahindra first has to remove 'Kinetic' name as it has no brand value today, especially among Kinetic owners. Mahindra has to keep only it's name and change the entire after-sales set up and 'up' Mahindra brand image in 2W space.

One of my friends (a regular xBhp member) works with Tech Mahindra. He said he has concrete news that Comet is coming back again this year. Sorry can't name him. You never know someone from Mahindra may be watching this.
