Approved
This had better be a global (overall) study rather than just Yamaha. Else we will have to change the topic later!

lolz what a biased statistical research....
Clubbing 125CC to 249CC is one group is like too much in a market like India.... Here it should rather be 125-149CC 150-200CC and 200+ CC (Bajaj being pwnd by others) Time to Act Bajaj... bring the Ninja on (Well another bias)

Nice research dude...
If we calculate the figure then it seems there would be more bikes from Yamaha in 150-250 segment for Indian Roads. I think the first one would be Fazer with 200+

^ Contrary to reports on various sites including xbhp, Yamaha IS NOT getting a Fazer 250 or a 200 for that matter to India. More dope (including a surprise) in the next issue of BIKE India

Looking at the trend now, People are looking forward to buy Yamaha Products!
Though Yamaha Was not a so much popular brand , but still we see Yamaha RX's being rolled everywhere and sale and purchase of the same till date! Yamaha is in making or rather i should say capturing market in a pretty good manner,R-15 FZ, New Fazer and then Galdiator has captured the most of the Commuter segement, though can not be compared with what bajaj has in Platina and Discover, but may be 2 years down the line, I can see such a thing!! ![]() Peace -LP

This might be slightly not very accurate but somehow am thrilled to see that Zuki, which has the least models has a considerable (?) share.... I mean with just two Motorcycles.....Zeus and GS150R , it has a market share of 2.53 as opposed to that of Bajaj which has 48.52.
P.S: There is HEAT no more...... RIP |

From statistics it's evident Pulsars/Apaches are becoming less popular with every passing year, if we glance at 125-249cc pie chart
Bajaj 60% in FY07 but 48% in FY10Q1 (down 25%) TVS 13% in FY07 but 7% in FY10Q1 (down 45%) HMSI 12% in FY07 but 24% in FY10Q1 (up 100%) HH 8% in FY07 but 12 in FY10Q1 (up 50%) Unicorn/Hunk/Xtreme/Zma have slowly improved over Apaches and Pulsars, in next 2 or 3 year term their popularity MAY further dip due to GSR/FZ/Fazer/R15 effect in the so called 'premium segment'. This inspite of numerous versions/upgrades/feature addition by Bajaj and TVS. Just my way of looking at the above statistics !! Last edited by vipin_s; 08-19-2009 at 07:23 PM. Reason: add |

Eagerly waiting for the next Bike India to hit the stands!
