  • Hi bikers, Snehal here

    Hi bikers,

My name is Snehal. I am from Kolhapur currently settled in Bangalore. I love bikes.

I had a Pulsar 150 and I was enjoying every bit of it. Rode in many parts of Maharashtra and Karnataka and Andra Pradesh. Did 52,000 kms and it started giving many problems. Replaced Chain Sprocket 5 times and clutch plates 4 times. Petrol was going in the tank in rainy season and I had to waste petrol, time and money to clean the tank.

So I sold it and I have bought myself a new Pulsar 220 (Carb - Blue). Hope this bike gives me no problem.

Headlight is very good. Power is super. Very practical bike. I like the seat as it is very comfortable.

Digital meter is very good. Wide tyre gives me confidence.

Only problem is that the LED rear light went off in just 3 months. Service guy said he will replace it under warranty.

If you plan any long ride, please inform.

    Snehal Karve

            Thank you everyone.

utsavchs sir, I am happy with the new bike. Every girl looks at my bike when it goes. But, I am not getting average. Only 30 is giving. My friend said I have to use synthetic oil to grab more mileage. Is it true?

            Thanks sir.

Coming to FE, 30 for P220 is sort of ok. That will depend on your riding. Synthetics will be good but will affect FE by minute margine over minerals (hope so you are not using them) (due to lowered friction).

Thanks to the welcome sir. Not petrol, I mean rain water was going inside the petrol tank.

one more problem with pulsar 220. They had told that I can go at 140 speed and above.

I am not able to go more than 130 speed. I have kept the bike very neat and I use speed petrol. still it is not crossing 130. please give me advise.

                      Thank you.

                        For High Perfomance Pulsar 220

                        1. Try to use Veedol or Speed Engine Oils.
                        2. Try to cut-off the useless extra-weight.
                        3. Speed might be reduced due to the tyres too. Get a sportier tyres like MRF Zapper Y, Pirelli with the R15 Tyre design.
                        4. Replace the Stock Exhaust / Silencer to the exhaust which comes with the performance kit (I forgot the name).
                        5. If still things don't work out then use White Petrol (I don't think it is available legally) as they increase the bike's performance to a great height, but make sure that your bike runs dry completely even the reserve for optimum performance.

Note: If you use White petrol, please try to keep RPM to low in city / crowded traffic as the acceleration will be more than normal. You can hit nearly 140KMPH or might be a little more I guess.

                        Ride Safe!
