  • Yamaha launches tesseract concept-Bike on FOUR wheels

Yamaha has developed it’s new motorcycle which cannot be classified as a bike because all bikes have two wheels. Yamaha’s Tesseract turns just like a motorcycle on four wheels. It has dual side suspension which allows the bike to lean to the either sides when you turn.In a regular two wheeler that we use, it can be risky when you apply your brakes on a rainy weather or on slippery surfaces and has a greater chance of slipping if you are at low speeds. The four wheeled Tesseract makes the riding more stable and enchanced while you can still enjoy the outdoor pleasure of riding a typical motorcycle.

The bike is powered by a V-Twin two cylinder hybrid powered gasoline plus electric engine. The upsides of owning such a bike is that it has more safety and stability and you do not need to put the side stand while parking! If this motorcycle comes out for commercial production, we can do wheelies and stoppies with more confidence!http://**********.s3.amazonaws.com/w...aha-tokio2.jpg

Yamaha is set to reveal a whole new class of four-wheel recreational machine at the Tokyo Motor Show that looks to combine motorcycle performance and maneuverability with four wheels worth of traction and road-holding capability. Details remain sketchy on the Tesseract hybrid four-wheeled motorcycle – ostensibly a four-wheel version of the Vespa, Piaggio and Vectrix three-wheelers with tilting mechanisms (dubbed “dual-scythe suspension”) at both ends making it a carving four-wheeler that retains the advantages of narrow width roughly equivalent to a two-wheeled machine. Powered by an electric hybrid liquid-cooled V-twin, the Tesseract promises ample torque and a top speed that will be theoretical everywhere but a racetrack, and when at rest, the machine will remain upright without the need for a stand via a dual arm-lock system.

I have a feeling I saw this somewhere in magazines, Site, etc...

This machine will be able to give big lean angles, because one suspension compresses down and other doesn't. something like that ....

Also, you won't need to drop your feet down on road at Signals. because it has 4 wheels.

Somehow, can't imagine this in production. The laws, the complications, etc...

I doubt it will give the same thrill as a two-wheeled one does.. but should be a good take for the handicapped people!!

Does each wheel has independent shockers?? If it does, it would be good on rough terrains and our pot-hole infested roads.

I really love these concepts... Before this, I saw some videos about Piaggio MP3 and loved it too!

But nobody can deny the fact that the probability of a tyre getting punctured suddenly became double!!

                        Two reactions:
                        a. Its just a bleeping quad. Who are they fooling?
                        b. Excuse me while I go puke my guts out - god, why can't they make beautiful motorcycles anymore.

Synna - my man, what do you say?

The golden alloys and other golden "stuff" are eye-cathing!

I can see the 4 disc brakes. Imagine using all 4 of them suddenly at a speed of 80kmph

I can't find the headlight. Correct me if i'm wrong.

What the hell? Have we gone crazy or what? Why are we yelling out like babies?

First, It IS A CONCEPT BIKE !!! Probably we should know what it means. General public reaction, feedback, expert comments and the future possibilities - That's what it is supposed to provide.

Second, Why there is so much fuss about cornering? Maybe it will not let you lick the tarmac with your tongue but yeah will give you enough lean angles to have a decent cornering speed. In simple terms, if it wouldn't lean, Yamaha wouldn't had made such a "Bike". There is a reason why they call it a bike.

Thirdly, I hate to say but yeah..IT IS A YAMAHA !!! We cheer up for Yamaha, we praise Yamaha and we worship Yamaha, yet we all become yelling babies cursing Yamaha to be foolish and technically illiterate to produce or even think of such a thing. Yeah we all are the biking experts but, unfortunately (or fortunately) Yamaha doesn't have any of us working for them.

I am baffled by some comments made above. They are actually funny rather than argumentative. God bless Yamaha !!!
                              Enna Rascalla. Mind it !!!
