Nice log Inder.

I was actually planning a trip to one of the beaches in Alibaug with my friends, and I would like to know a few things:

1 - You mentioned that you took the Pune-Mum expressway. I didn't know bikes were allowed on it.
2 - Was there any stretch of road that was bad? I keep suggesting a bike trip but my roommates keep telling me that the route is pathetic on some parts that are laid in between villages and it would be really tiring and not all that one could hope for from a great bike trip. I would like to get a full idea of what kind of tarmac lies on this route.

Thanks in advance.

There's a small stretch of road where after khopoli town when we ho towards mumbai..we have to be on the expressway and bikes are allowed on that..!! But, one has to take the "Khopoli exit"..if not taken cops are right there to catch a fine bomb..

Some patch of Alibaug town to Kihim beach is a bit off-road..but u can easily do a 60kmph on that...without hurting the bike..

Thanks in advance.
Answers in bold..

Thanks for the reply. Would you happen to know what the road condition is from Alibaug town to Kashid beach? I'm just a little paranoid but I'd love to do the whole stretch if the roads are good.

Inder always cool, poor fz ,not meant for cruising but on streets they re the lords, nice pics and good safety standards you people follow down south we people were not even much aware of riding gears ask some one why does a rider in a motogp shown in a tv wears that jump suit you can get variety of answers like its what should be worn when you ride those bikes or the bike company is promoting buy using them as movable posters(bike company logos on gears)all kind of answers when in school we used to elope class steal bike from home (mostly elder bro's)and go out for short trips but now i cant even imagine how terrible mistakes we did riding without any safety gears not even helmet'sbut that was in 90's things ve changed a bit now people use helmets atleast

True.. I hardly see people wearing safety gears even in long drives. Apart from places like Besant Nagar, its very rare to see bikers with safety gears. (im from chennai)
