@lijok, Fuel availability on the way to Ladakh

Till Manali you will get a fueling station at anywhere between 20 to 30 km.

After Manali 1st fuel station is at Tandi which approximately 110 Km from Manali and 7 Km before Keylong. This station closes at 7:30 in the evening and reopens at around 7:00 in morning.

After Tandi you will find no petrol pump till Leh which is around 365 km from this place. Keep in mind that your bike's mileage will reduce at least by 4-5 km on this road and decide how much fuel to carry.

After Leh you will get next petrol pump in Kargil, a 230 km drive from Leh.

You will not have any problems finding a fueling station after that

Yes you are right... September is the idle time to visit Ladakh in peace..

I went there about 2 years back in a car and as early as June the temperatures dropped to below zero in chushul and zanskar valley (over the night of course).

Are you sure september is better?
So you were there in Ladakh in Spetember or June?
In June, it is like that.. Snow everywhere and chilled whereas in September, it is calm and serene...

In case of emergency, you can get fuel in black at Pang. I managed to get it at 100Rs/litre.. this is just to have it in mind & not depend on it.
