The emphasis on rider fitness is noteworthy, and I always feel the weakest link any any such endurance battle is the rider, as the vehicle knows no pain or fatigue. Whether the rider is as capable as the bikes is the big question, and in your case, you have matched, if not surpassed the capability of the mighty ONE.

Congratulations once again, and anyone who talks to me about superbikes, get to hear the Safari battle, as you had narrated to me, and that is when their jaw drops, upon hearing 260kmph!!!

So, when are you heading for the track day?? With the ONE?
Thanks Sharath, indeed these engineering marvels dont have a limit; yeah the Safari saga wasnt a sane decision, but I am glad no one apart from the driver was hurt(pissed off)

Yeah track day is on the cards, even Nisarg and Ram wanted to join so I will keep u posted

Got round to reading all the SS runs on xBhp after going through Ananth's near-1600 on the Ninja

Contrary to what most people would conclude, I'd imagine the SS to be more demanding on a litre-class whomper like the 'One when compared to a run on a quarter-litre Ceeber/Ninja or even the N650R. Not sure if that's the case though

Anyways, I digress..

Congrats on the SS man. Both Akhil and you seem to be making it a habit of caning (metaphorically) the 'One through slush, gravel and anything that the bharat-sarkar-approved roads can possibly come up with
The bit about improving your physical fitness should be highlighted in bold such that unfit 20-something arses such as moi get into shape purely for the sake of enjoying any stint on the saddle to the fullest.

Cheers !

I completely agree that doing an SS on litre-class motorcycle is tough than on a N250 or 650 or the CBR 250. It(R1)is built to put faster laps on a racetrack not push them for endurance rides on highways.

Every thing about the CBR250 or the N650 aids touring
- Relaxed posture
- Decent to good fuel range
- Provision to mount luggage(saddlebags)
- No need to hunt for premium fuel etc

Having said that fitness plays a vital role during such attempts.
Ex: is that a rider is trained differently to complete a 'Suzuka 8 hours endurance race' than an WSBK rider even though they share the motorcycles built on the same platform.
