Default Leh trip, yet again

In 2009 me and one of my friends Leh. The account of which is buried in this forum somewhere (or 200 mph in the wrong lane: The mother of all road trips needed the father of all headlines, so: This is for you 1mrankhan.). Inspired by my stories, or wanting to kick my ass and shut me up, my other friends decided to do this trip again in 2010.

So a ZMR, a ninja 250, a thunderbird, an R15 and pulsar 200(the bike i did the trip in 2009 on) were being readied to get on with it.

Only nature had some other plans.

There was cloud burst in Leh a day before we were supposed to leave. Having spent almost a year planning and waiting for this, we decided we will go till the time there was no road ahead and then come back.

We did come back. But only after we had crossed overflowing bridges, seen the devastation that was leh and the curfew that was srinigar.

It's been one year to that trip. And it will always be special. More special than the first one on many counts.

It was just 5 headstrong kids refusing to leave the candy store before they have had their favourite sweet.

I am supposed to write a log of that trip. But if i was me i wouldn't bet on me.

But they say a picture is worth thousand words. And a second in a video have 24 frames. And there is 16 gb worth of frames i have.

Chuck the maths, enjoy as i keep posting some of the videos that i made.

Some are just for fun. Some are dedicated to a very dear friend of mine.

The first one is somewhere close to Leh. On road from Tso Moriri to Leh. We had to take a detour 47 kms before Tanglang La towards Tso Moriri. Tanglang La was closed due to bad weather and a 5-10 km stretch of road was washed away ahead of it. This detour costed us almost 200 extra kms but in the bigger scheme of things was worth that more memories. One of them being of crossing a bridge in the night thinking if this goes there is no way in hell anyone will ever going to find us and then coming to know next morning that the bridge got washed away 2 hrs after we crossed it.

cheers then.
