Day 1 My home to Alibaug

Started our journey at 9am...The weather was pleasant..I stay at saphale which is near Palghar...

We reached NH8 which is Mumbai Ahembadad highway..Road upto this is very horrible..

Continuing on NH8 we reached Panvel city traffic...It was heavily raining continuisly.. and have to stop for the tea several times...

After going through this traffic we reached Pen and finally Vadkhal Naka...

There is Karnala Bird Sanctuary..wow..Nice place to take a halt!(entry fee..Rs 50) We had a lunch and left for the alibaug...

            Karnala Bird Sanctuary

Alibaug is just 30 kms from Vadkhal Naka...If you go straight its a NH17 and a right turn is for alibaug via poinad...

At alibaug there are many hotels near beach...but we found a cheap one near beach...just a 500 for a day..

            Alibaug beach

This pic is clicked by Nokia N79...!!

            KIHIM BEACH

            Alibaug Fort...

Visited alibaug and Kihim beach...if you want to visit Rewas beach its 20 kms from alibaug...but dont go on weekdays...

Hotel FULORA is a great place to eat Nonveg....

We went on beach at night..it was awesome...

After coming to the hotel we decided to go goa!! it is 540 kms from alibuag..

Sounds like a great ride, please give me directions from Amboli to the NH4, I always seem to get lost! mostly because I can't read the road signs, I also don't speak Hindi or Marathi so that doesn't help, will be heading that way to Bombay in a couple of weeks, I usually go via Belgaum, but that adds an extra 60km and another toll, plus the extra time.
Beware of Bread, don't say I didn't warn you!
More than 98 percent of convicted criminals are bread eaters !
Statistics show that more than 75 % of violent crimes are committed within 24 hours of eating bread !
Bread is known to be extremely addictive. Subjects deprived of bread and given only water, actually begged for bread after just two days !
Bread has been proven to kill. Scientists have now uncovered alarming evidence that 100% of the people who eat bread will eventually die !

Just look out for signs reading 'Nipani' or better just ask for it and you will be guided to the NH4 !
