Lightbulb Riding to Chitkul, Come along!

Hi Fellow riders

I intend to head out for Chitkul on the 6th October (trying to get a leave on 5th to be able to leave earlier).
Ride Plan:
Day1: Delhi to Kufri or Narkanda
Day2: Kufri/Narkanda to Chitkul
Day3: Chitkul to X(Yet to deicde)
Day4: X to New Delhi

I have a back problem that is still healing so have broken down the ride to as many days as possible and would love to sneak in a rest day in Chitkul if I can leave on 5th October.
I will be riding on my STD UCE 350, would love for some fellow riders to join in.

Be warned, im a lazy and relaxed rider , dont do too many twisties in Full-throttle-lean-mode more of the smell-the-air rider..so if you are up for it do join in.
I do not have a huge experience of riding in the hills, but have done a few-- delhi-chakrata-rohru-tiuni-narkanda-shimla-delhi
delhi-landsdowne
delhi-kasauli

These are the road infos I have collected till now from people who have been to that grid recently-
"Delhi to Narkanda last 45kms is bad with broken roads, Kufri to Narkanda is 45kms & Narkanda to Rampur 60kms good roads...but 10kms ahead of Rampur is Bhakdi where roads starts getting bad. entire distance between Narkanda to Chitkul is 195kms...
40 Km after Rampur till Karchham.. roads are average and lot of dust.. Karchham to Sangla OK type and Sangla to Chhitkul.. sometimes good.. sometimes bad.."

Any inputs or suggestions are welcome. Thank you
(P.S. dear Mods, please shift to relevant thread if i have posted wrongly)

Hello Sumantra,
Welcome to XBHP mate. So you are riding on the day of Bishorjon
Well, just to let you know that the last 45 kms on the way to Narkanda is pretty bad. I don't know how you decided to do this ride with your back problem still not resolved but it will take a HELL lot out of you. I have been to Narkanda in Aug only. They were trying to re-construct the roads but I don't know how successful it has been. Best of luck for your ride.

Thank you for the warm welcome I have been a semi-muted observer on xbhp since 2009 have not checked the forum for the last 1 year due to lack of time, but this has been the place and biker brothers like yourself have been the very people who have stimulated my interest and knowledge about motorbikes so THANK YOU.
Anyway getting back to the topic, I detest riding to the touristy locales ad they are mostly the ones on good tarmac plus since I saw the opportunity of finding a rare 4 day leave and hence decided to travel as far as possible. Initial destination was Gwaldam, but then Sangla Valley seduced me away from it :P.
I Guess since Gwaladam either isnt a regular spot on the NH, roads might not be in shape, also I just couldnt find info about roads to Gwaldam via nainital.
Hence, Chitkul.

Tsk tsk man, 10 days later and I would have been able to join you, you have a good trip though! And yeah, the broken roads will take a lot out of you, not to mention the areas around Karchham covered with rising dust and rubble. When I was last there, I had to take antihistamines on a very very regular basis to manage my dust allergy Sangla to Chhitkul is pretty decent, stop off in Rakchham if you can, beautiful little sleepy village. Have a good one!
