Default a circular ride on my ninja thiruvananthapuram thenkashi thenmala

It was another ride planned off the map with no specific destination in mind. A circlular route was chosen off the printed TTK map ( Excuse me Google ) thiruvananthapuram, nagercoil, thovalai, straight to NH 7 and to thirunelveli then to ambasamudram, thenkashi, courtallam, shenkottah, thenmala, pulanur,a yur and back to thiruvananthapuram. Was to start the ride alone from home at 6-30 am, but better half seems to get the better of me and told me she would join after she returns from her yoga class by 9-30 am and so there goes my well planned timings. So we started by 9-40 am topped ninja to the brim and we were on our way. Getting caught in bad traffic on the thiruvananthapuram to nagercoil is a big let down and so it turned out to be . better half had to sit only and I am the rider and even on a Sunday it was bad traffic and we were averaging speeds of only 25 kph after 50 kms. The roads opened up some what after nagercoil and we hit the NH 7 with much relief . the winds were heavy and pulling us to one side but I was able to pull out 140 kph on the bike a couple of times with 2 of us and very heavy wind without bending down. We reached thrirunelveli in no time. Took the left road just after the police check post before entry into the town and we were on our way to ambasamudram. The road from there was simply great for cool riding with tree’s villages, twisties etc. we took short breaks and enjoyed the ride. Ninja was a pleasure to ride at a 60 kmph speed on this road till thenkashi. Then it was was kerala again. Cool forest roads till almost ayur and we were back home by 8-00 pm after riding for 370 kms on all sorts of terrain.

Nice ride and some lovely pictures there as usual Hari. I'm sure the three hour wait for Mrs Hari was worth it (?), after all its so much more enjoyable when you share the ride.

thanks all. i will be doing some D.I.Y cushioning on the ninja seats on my next ride. i feel corbin seats are simply not worth the 40K. it may be better to spend the 40K on a softer rear suspension for the ninja.

And a grab rail pls; your Wife is more than respected to stay on those high speeds without grab rails.

yes you are right. but this speed will happen only on good NH roads if ever. and at high speeds the best grab rail is to hold around me(aerodynamically or otherwise) which she did.
