    ONE FROM THE HEART !

Almost 4 decades of motorcycling and never a solo?? So many roads traveled, so many emotions, so many highs, so few lows (lots of highs, trust me!) Motorcycling has raised my soul to heights of unmatched joy!! From my school days as a kid in the 1960s ‘borrowing’ my dad’s bicycle just for the joy of two wheels to explore some strange roads, panting with exhaustion after a few miles, to now, so much older (body, mind and soul… wiser ?? naah can we ever be??) Yeah, ‘two wheels' is a passion which can capture your soul with a joy so hard to explain to the “rest of the world.”
Rewind, rewind… back to the present.. so many rides and never a solo?? I had to fill that empty space in my motorcycling world to complete the circle, I had to know what my solo riding brothers feel, think and do on their amazing adventures. Some lessons in life come very, very late in life… So what?? Can we program our life?? No way! So we just have to make the best of what life serves us with open arms!! So into solo territory—what, where, how, why?? Coming up shortly !!

Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

Some nice thoughts sir. I have done solo riding and with company equally. My very long rides were always with a good company. More than 50 percent of the miles that I covered on two wheels are solo. As Biru pointed our, there are both advantages and disadvantages to solo riding. The best part of solo ride is, that it is a personal one, and its just you and the ride; your mind wanders as you wish, so is the ride. But, for very long rides for day, especially the ones out of the state, I generally prefer a good company, who is generally equal to my riding passion and enthusiasm.

Needless to say...another Solo rider here...mostly force due to circumstances forced by the damagers at office

That provokes me to ask...how about adding a poll to this thread to find out how many solo riders are in this group

                Cheers !

Yeah R.G, and i have to say your rides have given me lots of joy and the occasional worry mostly about your safety.
And what can we say about the 'damagers' except !

                Take Care !

It had to be a short ride since I have to be back to attend a pooja function in the evening. Moreover we have planned a ride together in November during the Diwali holidays and then the Nagapattanam/Rameshwaram/Kanyakumari/Kerala ride in December

Rev up and let the engines roar!!!

Good one sir! I've been a lone rider mee-self.

Feels so very good to be graced and recognized by a wonderful soul such as yourself...
Its never the ride, never the distance that matters... We ride to cleanse our minds from the day to day hoopla and immerse within the nature.
BTW, where in Bangalore you started from? I could have given you company. It'd have defeated your purpose of riding solo though!

Now, this is different yet again. Nothing short of Un-expected.
I ride solo and my group rides have been very limited. Absolute Freedom, is when you ride solo.
