Initially the ride was to Shimoga-Murdeshwara-Malpe-Dharmasthala , but at the last moment when we were about to leave i changed the plan to just Chikkamagalur-Dharmasthala.

It was planned that 3 bikes and 6 of us were to leave and later it reduced to 2 bikes and 4 of us. Out of which the other bike was new and had just finished its 1st service and the rider(owner) was as raw as possible in terms of riding. He knew to ride and had thought and was also boasting that he could take on any road at any time and how much ever Kilometer in a stretch .
I had planned the complete ride during the night as i knew what would happen if i ride during day time in WG area, and that too surroundings of Dharmasthala is way too hot in this time of the year. Knowing the reality of my friend and his riding abilities i changed my mind about the Trip route .

Day : 1

-Bangalore-Nelamangala-Hassa-Belur-Chikkamagalur-Mullianagiri-Chikkamagalur

We left Bangalore at 3 AM . Had our first tea break at Nelamangala.

I was damn happy that it was a night ride and my friend was so much confident that he will be damn comfortable in the night which i had not believed. I had given all the gyaan that is required to ride in every Bloody condition and had told him that i will be indicating every single obstacle on the road with my indicators , hand and leg signals.

i enjoyed clicking pics's and this was just a photo ride and nothing else.

from there the plan was to visit all the peaks in Chikkamagalur and call it a day in CHKMLR itself and head to Dharmasthala VIA Charmadi ghats.
BUT,,,,,,,,,, it all changed. we reached CHKMLR by 11 AM had breakfast in the same place which Phanikar bhai had shown during the ISG2G 2012 .
We got a room first and thought we would get freshened and leave ,but Guess what all 3 just slept off.
Huh had no option but to wait. We got ready at 350 pm and still we had to have dinner . By the time we reached Kimara junction it was 450 pm. so i just decided to go to Mullianagiri and at-least wanted to see a relaxed sunset.
I had to skip the place told to me by Phanikar called MANIKYADHARA. I will surely be visiting that place as it was described better than Mullianagiri.

We were at Mullianagiri till about 640 and headed to Seetiahanagiri . the view there was just Awesome. I just didn't want to leave that place at all. We were here till about 730pm and it was pitch black every where.

Clear Visor is just amazing . Night ride is just super easy with it. I am extremely glad that i got it.

By this time i had come to know what i had to and so did i. I just reduced my speed to not more than 40 kmph and always had a look at the RMV and made sure that the other bike was right behind me.

Actually it was a first time for me that i was riding so slow. But , frankly i enjoyed it . It was just playing with the lights and cracking jokes with my pillion on almost every topic that we knew. that was super fun . From here i was cool all the way and i had too much fun letting other vehicle's overtake me and in the process i also learnt a lot what not to do while overtaking. Chikkamagalur is still green to some extent and i am seriously surprised how.

Day : 2 Chikkamagalur-Mdigere-Charmadi ghats-Dharmasthala-Shiradi ghats-Hassan-Bangalore

Everyone got up by 5 and got ready by 6 am . Sadly no petrol bunk accepts Credit/Debit Cards and which was a great problem for me . By 620 we were off to Charmadi, which is my all time favorite spot .

I was back in my coffee Adda in this route.

After that i was the Ghats and some more Clicking

We reached Dharmasthala withe a lot of traffic and a small accident in cHARMADI. We were following a KSRTC bus in the hairpins and 2 impatient car's came behind us, out of which one passed the bus as he honked too much and got a straight where the bus driver slowed down and gave him way. the second car was a brand new ritz white in color. he kept on honking but it was hairpins and the itself had very little room to turn. after the hairpins i asked for way and the bus driver thought it was just me and slowed down a little and i quickly passed , but the car guy also came in and right in front was a curve where the space was very less. YOU can only imagine what happened later on. the bus kissed the car so hard that the car started bleeding . and a start of a serious fight and Blocking the road for several minutes.

We reached Dharmasthala at 1130 am which was 100 km from CHKMLR. Entered the Q for the darshan at 130 pm and came out of the temple at 430 pm. All of us we very tired and decided to leave the place by 6 pm and reach Blr by 430-5 am.

While at a tea stall some where Between Nelyadi cross and Gundya Check post i think i saw @Lonely Rider pass by . I did not have his contact and more over there was no network at that spot . It was around 650 pm and he was riding towards Mangalore . If it was you ad your bike , that bike sound's awesome .

Both the Beauties taking rest at Bellur cross toll. I also took a nap for about 45 mins and reached Blr at 430 am.

Over all it was a safe ride . And a ride which Taught me a little about riding slow and also learnt a lot about riding in the night.
