  • PhOtOs of my trip to TARKALI BEACH

Tarkali Beach is just one beach above the north most beach of Goa just at the Maharashtra - Goa border.

Its known not only for clean and crystal clear water but also for visible sea bed up to 10feet.

Very few people are aware of this place. Cost wise its cheap and equally neat. Trust me, you will be amazed to see what all is there at this beach.

O and also there is an option of snorkeling too.

Here in this album link are the photos and a few videos in my blog.

    LOG:

    1st October to 5th October 2008
    Destination: Tarkarli Beach.
    Day 1:
    1st October 2008 - Wednesday
I called up Angelo and Saurab and confirmed we are meeting outside Vashi Center One mall by 7.30pm. Also C.J. (Chandrashekar Jakka) was to join us too.
At sharp 7.30pm I was at center one and just in few minutes CJ arrived. I was chatting with him and in 5 mins Angelo too showed up.
Now only wait was for Saurab. He arrived by 8pm.
Without wasting time we started our ride. And first halt was at Panvel for Dinner.
We ate at Welcome hotel which is just opposite Datta snacks. Food was ok, not that good as I ate here last time.
We then started ride for Lonavale.
Within no time we were above the ghats. Climate was relatively cold. As we were not tired so taking a halt was not much needed.
Now as we crossed Lonavale, suddenly from no where a lot of fog appeared. Visibility was next to zero. I should have taken some photographs.
The fog was for a good 20 - 25 kms.
Coming and going - coming and going.
By 11pm we were at Dehu road and were looking for some stay thats when Saurab got a call from Angelo and came to know that CJ had met a small accident behind. We rushed back from the wrong side and reached the spot. Luckily there was not much damage or anything worst. He just had some bruises and the rear brake had got damaged. Also the mud guard came off.
We found a stay and settled down.
Freshen up and were down not for dinner but some snacks.
By late hour we went back to our rooms and were off to sleep.
    October 2nd - Thursday
We started today early morning. Did a 20km ride and took halt at a fast food place for breakfast.
This is where we spotted a hayabusa. And Saurab started posinghalt just at the beginning of Khambatki ghat. This is where Saurab was trying some burnouts.
Within no time we stared ride for Panchgani. I was also getting hungry. So Mapro Gardens was our lunch halt.
This is where CJ caught us up.
After having some sandwiches we started ride non-stop to Kashedi ghat top.
After just 1 hour and 30 mins of riding we were at kashedi ghat top.
    Took an half hour break.
After descending Kashedi Ghat. We did a non - stop ride to Chipun and that too a fast one. We were non stop over 100km/hr.
I took CJ and rest directly to the Bajaj workshop to fix the rear brakeOctober 3rd, 2008 - FridayMTDC resort and a sight seeing board. That sign was enough for me to be convinced, that is our stay for the day.
Tarkarli is 7 kms from Malvan. The 7 kms pass through all village type homes. It was fun to ride up and down from Malvan to Tarkarli.
We reached at the place by 3.30pm and found out that one dorm was available. I was wondering it might be costly by it turned out to be cheap. Just it came Rs. 300 person. We had lunch at Malvan and then came back to the resort.
We changed and headed straight to the beach. And next couple of hours were the best part about the ride.
We spent endless hours in photography and enjoying that time.
After sunset we were back in our dorm and ordered some food by that time, Angelo and CJ went to get some drinks.
After Dinner we slept early as already muscles were tired.
    October 4th, 2008 - Saturday
We got up around 8am. I and CJ went on the beach to enjoy the morning sunshine and again for some photography.
Also it was low tides so walking far from shore was fun.
I then headed back to the dorm started packing as by 9.30am we will be checking out.
By 10pm we were back on the road and headed to Malvan for some breakfast.
After our hunger was satisfied we the headed on the beach with our bikes. Took some shots of bike straight on the beach just enough that the water can touch the tyres.
By 11am were at the sindhudurg port waiting for the boat to take us at the sindhudurg fort which is in middle of the sea.
Other than the fort the rock garden is an interesting thing to see next to the sindhudurg fort.
We spent about 45 mins inside the fort. The water is totally clear up to 10 feet this sidesome heavy rains and windOctober 5th, 2008 - Sundayfixing his tyre we then speeded over 100 to reach Vadkal naka by sun down.
At Vadkal naka we had some great bhurji and the started ride back to Mumbai.
I by 6pm was in my room. And heading straight to the shower.
One more good ride experience to the record.
