  • [Photo Feature]: Journey of a Lifetimeļæ½..Thrilling Enthralling Adventurous 50 Hours!!!

First of all Let me give a brief intro about ourself. Myself Rizwan and my pal Ajay(blue jacket), We are IT professionals doing all the same boring stuff daily and thought of having an adventerous ride.

Then we decided the destinations and the dates.
Chennai-Kodai-Munnar-Chennai (1300+ Kms) on my 6 months old avenger @ the 3rd weekend of November 2008.

    The route:

    Day 1

We were continuously riding till we could see the sun light. It was around 5:30 am stopped our bike for a tea break just few kilometers before ulundurpet.

After that refreshing tea, we started our journey towards Trichy and it was really tough riding in that road. It was around 8 am, we had breakfast at samayapuram (30 kms before Trichy), few kilometers after that we had the first glimpse of the Western Ghats and reached Trichy at 10 am.

We continued our ride towards Dindigul, Batalagundu

After Batalagundu we hit the Ghats road towards Kodaikanal. It was an amazing experience climbing the ghats in my avenger, Kodaikanal was just 48 kms away from there. Just after 10+ kilometers we were able to sense the chillness in the air. Remember to give horn at every bend while riding at the ghats

The chillness was proportionally increasing as we were reaching the kodai.

We reached silver cascade (water fall 5kms before kodai then reached
Kodaikanal at 1:30 pm and lodged, had lunch and rested for couple of hours. At 4 pm started walking around kodai lake,

and did some shopping and returned to room at 7 pm. It was very chill in the room also, we were not able to keep bare legs on the floor. Later on we had dinner and slept.

Day 2 (Munnar) will be continued very soon......

It was really a heaven having a good sleep at 2030mts above msl. Our plan was to wake at 5am and start towards Munnar. As it was too cold we could not keep a step out of the hotel.

At 7am we vacated the room, and both of us had two cup of Tea and it was really an amazing to have hot tea in a chilled atmosphere. This gave us a good refreshment and we started out journey towards Munnar.

It is an early morning and the raod was more scenic and chilled than when we climbed up.

Journey after this will be uploaded very soon......
