TOTAL 750 kms on the trip meter.
DAY 1:
We left around 9.30 pm from Domlur, Bangalore. We had planned to live early but got late. We were four riders. 3 Pulsars & 1 FZ(which is mine). We some how managed to pass the tariff & went to Shell Petrol station for the fuel. We stopped nearby hotel for our dinner. By 10.30 pm we left to Mysore. On the way we had few stops for Tea. We were feeling sleepy after a hard day of work. We managed to reach Mysore by 1.00 am. We managed to hit speeds around 80-90 KMPH t make in time for our stay in Mysore. We were finding hard for a hotel room & by 1.45 am we found a good place to stay. We slept till 6.00 am in the morning.
DAY 2:
Around 7.00 am we vacated our room & left for Nanjangud. From there we had our breakfast & left for Gopal Swamy Betta which was around 50 to 60 km from there. Climate was good for riding. The road were pretty nasty after when we reached Gundalpet. We some how managed to reach the top by 12.30 pm. The view was amazing but crowed by people as because of some festival. We had good view of the surronding mountains. We left the top around 2.00 pm. We had to reach BR hills before sunset(6.00 pm) otherwise the forest department would not let us through due to wild animals. We had to cover 80 to 90 kms to reach with bad roads. We had our lunch in a small town. My Friend Ravi descided that we take the Inner Forest route rather than the Main Road. We had no idea what we are getting in to. From there it was 50 kms to BR Hills. We went past the 1st Check post by 3.30 pm (there are two check post because of the forest). Riding through the forest was such a scarey thing but exciting. It was a very thick forest. We saw elephants, deers some wild pigs. We hoped not to see any Lion or tigers. When we went to the 2nd check post the told that "if you are lucky you might see some of them". After a little adventure we reached the top by 5.30 pm. We had planned to stay the night in BR Hills but what was to happen is that we had trouble finding any rooms. I told my other friends that its no use of staying here without rooms. We planned to live the place to find a near by town for rest of the night. It was getting darker. i think it was 6.30 pm some how we made up our mind & want to get out of there. There was a viilage person who too had to go to is village. He knew the roads. So we took him also. This was the most memorable journey of 40 kms in the forest at Night. Just imagine the tension of being attacked by some wild animals. We drove like hell through the forest hitting those curves & bends with awesome speed. We had only thing in mind to get out the forest. Finally we reached down & some relife. The forest checkpost guys were shouting at us for coming down at the night. Without the help of the village man we could not have made it out because he the roads well. At last we reached Kollegala town and took a nice room for sleep. " WHAT A DAY ".
DAY 3:
A very bad day for me. We vacated the room & started to leave to MM hills which was 100 kms from there. We had breakfast & tea. On the way i was the fourth rider all others were a head of me. On a tight turn a truck was heading in fast on the opposite direction. He was on the centre road. My friends managed to pass him before the corner but when it was my turn i had to avoid hitting him. I sliped but i was hoping to control my bike has it was dusty, sand and big stones. I was at 60 speed. I could not control fell hard on the ground. I think a rolled about 4 to 5 times. My FZ got damaged pretty badly. It broke the fuel tank, handle bar got bent. I fell hard on my left shoulder with few cuts. Lucky i was wearing a Helmet which saved my Life. Has soon as i got up i called my fellow friends as they did not see me fall. One of my friend was good with bikes so we strightened the handle bar. We were planning to abort the trip. I was thinking how will i make it back to home with this bike. But after a few test runs the bike was OK. I told them that we continue with the trip we visiting MM Hills. It was a very tight Ghat section. The roads where bad. I was feeling the pain in my shoulders. We took some rest in temple & started to live to Bangalore. One of my friends bike got Punture & we had to ficks it & then leave. On the way down we got lost & didnt knew where we were going. It was long trip back home. We nearly had to cover 250 kms it was already late. We came by Mattur Dam, TN through Krishnagiri, Hosur & Bangalore. I reached home by 10.45 pm. On the next day i took my bike for service. I spent 4000 rs for the repairs. I changed my bike colour from RED to BLACK.
THIS WAS MY EXPERIENCE.
Thank you for your time.
I am attaching few of the images i took on the trip. ENJOY!!!
