Gracious! 1.8 already, and Raynox on top of it. You should be thankful the whole picture did not turn out to be a 'bokeh'!

Quite simply put it is the feel of the OOF (Out of Focus) area that you see in a photograph. It is a Japanese term which means 'blurred'.

All I know is Sayo-Nara.

But somehow archi's photo seems nice. It seems like one of those things you see with water in your eyes, some things seem focussed and some things are just OOF. The B&W touch gives it an even better feel - vintage!

This is precisely what is meant by too shallow a depth-of-field. At an aperture of f1.8 you cannot expect anything less.. On top of that, the bugger even used the Raynox macro conversion kit!

Thanks Inder & Anvancy,
Somehow I havent seen such colors anywhere up north, though I travel quite in hills here too. Munnar is fabulous, a must for everyone.
