In simple terms, keep the focus on the subject and maximize your aperture by setting it to something between f9-f11 or more (if your camera allows)..That's as simple as I could get..

When it comes to maximizing the DOF, the hyperfocal distance is a very important concept.
Simply stated, the hyperfocal distance is the shortest distance from the camera such that everything from approximately half that distance to infinity will appear sharp. Focusing the camera at the hyperfocal distance results in the greatest DOF possible for a given combination of aperture and focal length.

An approximate hyperfocal is somewhere near the 1/3rd of the image. To make it clear - Divide the image horizontally into three parts, focussing on the intersection between the second and the third part will give a probable max DOF, of course keep the aperture max small and lens max wide.

Hope this ray optics is clear this time.. if not then I have a diagram also which m lazy to put here.

I can learn everything from macros to people photography to ultra zoom shots to Panoramas to blah blah...name it and you can more or less learn it on your Semi DSLR.
Thanks for the critique... thanks for the suggestion too.. so superzoom it is!

Ok jokes apart- Dude tell me this , is this foto straight out of the camera or u have done some PP .. have u sharpened the foto? lemme know bcoz m on the verge of learning PP , and yes gradually inclining towards Macro after seeing ur pics buddy .. gradually planning for a lens later on!
waa bhai...meri mehnat teri kamai??

this shot is straight out of the camera..just touched up a 70 sharpness at 2 radius in LR.nothing else.

one of the most fantastic functions i find in PS is unsharp mask..and DSLR users surely get more juice from their pics.i simply believe that a photo looks top notch once it has been edited.not once it has been shot.

if u are going into macro i would simply suggest to first go for raynox before the actual macro lens..raynox really teaches you macro photography and still you get awesome shots.the 250 at 200mm is 1:1.so at 300mm it goes beyond 1:1 and still you can crop..so intricate details.

some of which are:

none of these have been cropped.all originals.
