My roommate and I went to the South Carolina Botanical Garden last week with my XTi + Nifty.

These are all taken in the twilight zone @ISO 800.

C&C most welcome.

hey @power, nice 2 c yr captures again ;-) . . I believe its better to keep the foto as small sized if it is noisy.. but then the foto will look good only on LCD and not on paper ..
Guys tell us any good noise reduction s/w other than PP..

I've got used to the grain look and I'm quite happy with it these days.

I love that look.

I've been using this lens since the past few days, and the results have been fantastic! Love this supposedly "cheap" lens!

Dude kindly dont call 50mm f/1.8 as "cheap" lens ( at least before we Indians)..
Nikkor is going to launch 50mm f/1.4 AF-S (with AF motor) in premium segment, expected price to be $350+.. Wish I get a buyer for my f/1.8 so that I can go for the AF-S version (poor D40 owner I am )..

Amazing lens and is rated as #1 Nikkor lens by ken-rockwell .. Given the specs I believe the canon and sigma versions also gives nearing equal quality like nikkor!
And its evident from the quality pics shared by you and power ..

So better call it a prime lens no matter wat the price is ! ..
