Loved your pics. However,a tip from my side, use the aperture mode in case of heavy light. Will be better for shooting the sun,etc in the frame.

Which one is better between the two:

1.Canon PowerShot SX120 IS

2. Nikon COOLPIX L110
Canon picture quality & anti-blur is great when talking prosumers like these...But L110 takes it away with its 15x optical zoom but again its dearer by around 2k(varies from city to city)...A bad point in both is they dont come with defauly Li-Cad batteries but again thats an added advantage on longish tours where you cant always recharge your battery.

You can also try Sony H-55 around that price range!!! Its severly loaded & Sony's a front runner in the prosumer space...

Go for the Nikon mate if you have your heart on it!!!

Other options :

Fuji FinePix S2500 HD : retails around 13.3k as per the site.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS1
: ~14.5k

@Mav: Congrats on procuring the 500D; it is a brilliant camera. Do keep clicking and sharing your work with us. And no, ARAYAN (if it is me; I am "Aryan" by the way) is no master, I am also learning like all of us.

I too just had these two in my mind and with whomever* I asked, the answer was unanimous canon.

*Magazine pro photographers from BSM/Motoroids/few other forums of photography.

I zero'd the CANON too, the biggest advantage over NIKON is the full manual control, NIkon scores with 15X optical though (CANON has 10X)

Will get it next week.
