I am moving from one state to another, not sure for how long I will stay there. I am not even sure if I will get my bike registered again. I have a few questions. What exactly is the document called NOC. I know it is a certificate from the current RTO that the bike is free from any kind of issues. What I would like to know is what exactly that document is? Is it form 28? Or, it is just a seal of RTO on the original RC? I want to know if I can get NOC made now and then not use it, in case I dont want to register it anywhere later. Is that possible or will they put any mark/stamp on the original RC and then I will have to register it for sure somewhere else? Secondly, what is the validity period of NOC once made?

Has anyone here transported their bike Via train while traveling in the same train?
I am looking at traveling by train and transporting my bike via the same train. My start station is the starting station so there should not be any issue while loading it in. But my destination is not the terminal station have to get off at a station that has a 20 minutes halt. Any input on this? Procedures involved with this as I will be booking my ticket in the next 2-3 days.

a. NOC from Crime branch, Nampally b. NOC from Traffic control room, Nampally Take these NOCs to RTO and fill up form 28 in triplicate. All set. and yes, driving is the best way for a hyd to mysore. will save you a lot of hassle. |

2. No. I believe you can keep the bike for 1 yr without paying road tax, but you will have to pay either the annual road tax/life tax beyond that. Please check with the visiting RTO to confirm on the figures |
