Yo Bro, I had RTR FI. had been with my friend to check out classic 2 weeks back. I was totally flattened by seeing thunderbird. Classic i sat on it and got feel.. I'm not very comfortable with those seats. with 6" and 85 kgs i dont think so this will fit my B*M during long tours. Hence opted for thunderbird. Sad part is my friend got this bike delivered in flat 2 days before 6 months. Now its taking 30 to 45 days.

patience is the word to own bull.

However i sold my RTR byke.

Congrats buddy, wise decision indeed, i guess this would be the amongst shortest discussion on What bike? in which a seeker has got his answer (may be by his own ) within 10 posts (not counted though)

anyway jokes apart, pl do post your thumper PIC's and do post your experience under Motorcycle owners thread.

nope i was totally flattened ven i saw this thunderbird ven i went to check out classic for my fren. classic was waiting period of 4 to 5 months. tbts being waiting period of 30 to 45 days.

I came to check out the second opinion from the thumpers whether there are any problems in TBTs. and make a call.

i was told fellow thumpers and also the spec sheet, apart from looks and DC there is no much difference on engine front. hence i thought lets go ahead..

yes i will post the initial ownership and pics of the thumper once i get the delivery. another 15 days to go. already feeling it as 15 decades..

have ridden 1979 std, thunderbird n electra before.

let me see how it feels to be a owner.

hay TorQ

I got my New TBTS this Thursday (28th Jan) , I had booked it on 7th of Jan at HSR Services in Mission road. Thank god i didnt had to wait for long. It is my first RE and i fell deeply in love with it. the feel and comfort it gives is uncompareable with any of the other bikes. I only suggest you to check the bike throughly before sending for registration. I had couple of problems in my bike after i brought it.
1) the toolbox cover was very lose.
2) The fuel liver (to change on off or reserve) has some problem it flows fuel till tank dries even if i have set it to ON.

One shocking thing i observed it i rode 220 KM filling 5 Liters of fuel. so the milage is around 44 in the city ( home to office -- JP Nagar to HAL Museum and few trips to Majestic) , I have to wait and see after servicing whether it improves or it comes down. Over all It is a darling bike with huge good feelings. .

I am waiting for my first service to complete before i can plan for a long trip to see its beauty on long trips.
Best of luck for your New love....
and write me back if you have any plans for long tips around Bangalore.

Hey nice and lucky u. i have booked it on 16th of Jan and still waiting. Initially had gone to Mission road. But to say the least there attitude was not so good. This was the same with RE showroom in jaynagar. So i chose jaynagar as its close to my place.

Initial ownership and showroom experience will follow, once i lay my hands on TBTS. Yes PM me your mobile number. Lets meet up for short trips within 100kms bangalore once im done with my run in. cheers.
