Waiting period is 4 months here in Bangalore when i booked it on 13th Jan, Now I suppose the waiting period would be 5-6 months.
so PATIENCE is the only option left.

I just read somewhere her that RE didnt expected the response they r getting to classic and they had planned their production accordingly. Now they r unable to meet the demand, hence long waiting period.

Default Hello everyone

Hi fellow xbhpians,

This is my first post on the community.

I have the same dilemma here.

Should I go for the Classic 500 or Classic 350?

My usage is low, around 20-30 kms/day with around 50-60 kms on weekends.

Money is not factor in deciding between the two.
I maintain and keep my vehicles for very long periods.
I have always dreamed and desired about owning a bullet since a kid. I do not plan to sell my bike. My requirements are:
1. Mileage should be good, but its not very important.
2. Should be easily serviceable
3. Spare parts availability should not be an issue.

Also, I already own a TVS Victor, which is nearly 8 years old, but in mint condition. Should I sell this off as maintaining 2 bikes might be difficult?

From what I've heard, bookings for for the CL350 & CL500 are presently on hold in Bangalore and they say it takes around 6 months to deliver. So, I want to make my decision as soon as possible before bookings are open.

I request experienced Bulleteers to pass their verdict.

Hi,

This is Ganesh. I am newbie and this is my first post on this site. I am not an experienced bullet rider but an experienced pillion rider on Bullet 500LB.

According to me its better if you choose the RE Classic 350 cause;

1) Your daily commute is limited.
2) You need mileage although its not a necessity.
3) Coming to maintenance(Servicing and Spares) of the bikes, both Classic 350 and 500 are the same cause they come with same UCE technology Engine. But, it may be possible that the company may stop the production 500 as the sales volume of 500 will be any day lesser than 350. Hope that really doesn't happen.

Or on the other hand you can even go for CL500 if you are ready to shell out some more money on the ownership, fuel and maintenance of the bike.

Man believe me owning a CL500 is an amazing experience cause; I really do feel jealous seeing the way my friends flaunt their 500 LB's.

The CL500 will be even more better. It got better power and the stock CL500 can pull you upto 130Kmph(CL 350 does 120Kmph) on Speedo.

So, Its upto you to now decide which is a better machine for you.

Hope the info really helps you.

@Ganesh, Thank you for your suggestion. But, I am still in a fix. I am unable to decide CL350 or CL500 because I don't want to take a decision that I might regret later.

Will be really grateful if Bullet owners can help out on this.

P.S: Just now went through the RE website, the Electra 5s seems similar to CL350 in engine. Apart from the retro looks and tyre size, there does not seem to be much difference. Also, the Electra has a lesser waiting period (around 2 months).
Now, its Electra 5s v/s CL350 v/s CL500.

HELP NEEDED!

I have narrowed down my choice to the 350cc variants, hopefully will be able to decide easily.

I am continuing my discussion at:
Classic 350 or Electra
