Default RTR 160/Pulsar 135LS/Others

Hi Guys,

I am getting a new bike. But as is always the case i am confused. As is evident from the Topic header my question is pretty much straight forward.I am unable to make a choice between the 2 bikes.

My requirements:
-----------------

1) I want a bit of power and torque.(Pulsar 135LS is in exception as i have been told it has power almost as much as all 150 cc Bikes)

2) I need the bike for commuting to office but there would also be frequent weekend trips and long drives.(I stay in Bangalore so Mysore and other places would be frequent visits)

3) I am happy with a decent mileage of about 50kmpl. My office trip would come to about 22 Kms (to and fro combined) everyday.

4) I need a clarification whether the RTR 160 beats 135LS in terms of power and torque.

5) Any other bike suggestions are welcome.I weigh around 61 kgs and height of about 5'10 inches slim build.

6) I would like some styling in the bike as i dont want to look like an uncle driving a bike ....

I would like to get your suggestions.

the RTR sure beats the baby pulsar in terms of sheer power and torque...if you have the money,Go for the RTR....but I guess the HH 150 twins do the job well too and not to forget, the new pulsar 150(a bit up on power)...I guess the hunk fits the bill as it is stylish(subjective though)and is well equipped for those occasional long rides.Just have a test ride of the RTR and feel whether you are comfortable with the seating as some may not like the sporty posture it offers...

Well dude i think u should go for rtr 160 against 135 ls if u need good power and torque as 135 ls has relevant power against rtr160 but lacks in torque

Also if mileage is not your main priority then go for fz16 the king of all 150cc.

P135 have small tank.. only 7 liter.. not good for tours.. think about refilling it every now and then.. very good city machine though..
whats your budget man?? have you considered GS150?? check out it's ownership thread.. I have a P150.. and it's good enough for any 150 in terms of touring..

My budget is anything upto 70K.....Maybe 75k if i push it....I am 23 yrs old....I stay in Bangalore.......

@Nitin : I didnt consider the GS 150....My roomie has it....So i dont want to have it....Better have different bikes.....And apart from that occasionally i feel a bit uncomfortable driving that vehicle.....

@Umesh : Mileage is an essential....I need atleast 45-55Kmpl.....It doesnt make sense to me to burn 75k and then spend a lot of money on petrol too.....

I am still in a dilemma.....I am thinking of buying at the end of the month....I want to get as much input as possible from you guys.............

If you want want mileage..looks...power combo then go for HH Hunk...
and if you can compromise a bit on average then go for the new P220 cc without the fairing...i guess that is priced at around 74k.
Else RTR is a nice an mean machine sheer power as compared to others in its league...

Check out P135 in flesh , i Personally didnt like the rear and fuel capacity.

Go for RTR160 Man , for your height you wont feel cramped up at all.

I had just like to add one thing....

I am of slim build...So the problem with going for a heavier bike is that even though i can ride it...i am not sure if i could handle the bike effectively and feel completely in control....Thats why i am against going for a P220....and also i dont want to look like an ant over a buffalo or something....i mean me over the machine shouldnt be looking odd...........

with the Pulsar220 and RTR 180,you can't expect a mileage of 45+ on a regular basis. So,the RTR efi makes a lot of sense here as it's priced around 75k here in bangalore and you do get mileage of above 45...
