Post Zma or yama ?

Hi,

I own a ZMA R (Black with Red Alloys), 4 months old and have done 6K kms. I am pretty happy with the performance and power delivery of the bike. Did some touring and the upright sitting position eased the riding like anything. I keep my baby clean and shining, Had a minor fall but got it done under insurance and the silencer muffler and right side cowl are back ( the so called scratched ones are with me, and up for grabs...that too for free ).That means i love and like Karizma- my dream bike once.

Few days back got to ride the R15. Though the initial pick up i am addicted to of ZMA was missing i liked it at higher revs.Found the sporty riding position comforatable as well. The R 15 felt small to me ( i am 5' 10") but quite manageable, no serious niggle.

I was comtemplating of trading my ZMA for the mini sportster. Incidently we just got our 4th ZMA in the friends group. and waiting for a ZMR and a old ZMA to join in. I love this bike and i liked the Yami as well.

Now the question is , Do you see it of Worth to make a switch? Any gain in handling and performance? Do they offer a exchange deal? If so how much resale can i expect for my warhorse ? Any suggestion/ advice are most welcome!! Thanks!

man why you are going to sell it... its not a worthy upgrade... only an upgrade in terms of handling/stability... ZMA is VFM bike and its really awesome one...
you have only used it for 6000kms... don't do anything silly... keep the bike for atleast a year and at that time there will be many good bikes available... heard that Honda is gonna release a 250cc bike next year... speculation of a RTR 220 also... its my opinion buddy...

+1
You will definetly miss the low end power IF you switch to R15.
Trust me.

Wait for 250's

+1 to Binoy. Not a good time to rid of your ONLY 6k bike. There are plenty of takls about new bikes to be launched. By the time you have some good mileage on your current ZMA, it will be ripe to switch to one of these new bikes.

In answer to your question at the end -

No

It's not worth switching bikes that too when you have a bike that is unbeatable and proven in its field! And it's not even old too!! Who knows, if u get the R15, Honda or someone will come out with their 250 which you will ride one day, and then we will see another thread like this ..

Just kidding man.. keep the ZMA-R.

R15 is good only when you're prepared to rev more in the city; sure you'll miss the torque in low speed in city limits;

I see you're thinking through the heart to go in for R15, but iIf you think right through the brain, you'll see how much money you lose for the trade in.

You are surely gonna miss the Torque and the power delivery of the ZMA to the R15. Rest your choice.

Exclamation

So it is ZMA then!!! Unanimous choice . So silly of me .

Binoy, riazmoin, Kaynmatics, TnT and Inder very well summed up by you all !! No need to quote your posts separately as u all are voting for ZMA..

So Inder i wont use the 'Veto', I'm with you all.

aargee, the exchange guy quoted the price at 56K . I know it was their tactic though.

Lets wait for 250s. We alll are waiting for it.

Mods can lock the thread as it seems its gonna end up with more fooling of me i guess.
