Ok, Now I am about to buy my first bike in next 2 months. My height is 5 ft 6 in and weight is 55 kg therefore I need a low weight bike with low saddle height. I have tried to drive 150 kg bike Honda Unicorn with a pillion but the bike was too heavy for me to make balance,so obviously i am not gonna buy heavy bike but on the other side I need power and looks. I have my eyes on Apache 180 from the very 1st day of its launch but would prefer some suggestions.Besides I have test driven Apache 180,Stunner,FZ16,Unicorn and I liked the Apache best in every way. And I hate yamaha from then on and I don't like Pulsar from the start except P220 which would be heavy for me.My needs would be to drive 120 Km daily including 60 km on highway and half on city roads.
I have also heard that Honda CBR150 with somr other low cc superbikes are also launching soon in India.Should I wait for these low weight high powered bikes. Ps Could someone tell me are these apaches for real or modded in photoshop and if they are real then how much would it cost to modify 180 RTR into the orange ones on this page and which bike's fairings are used for the mod. Topic Approved.
Since you say you want a bike which is light, have you tried the new Pulsar 135 or perhaps even the XCD, from Bajaj? They are pretty zippy and lightweight machines too.

2) No CBR150 for now 3) Those are photoshop mods, one of them are from an indonesian forum, not available here... PS: Its a misconception that heavy bikes are difficult to balance.

For your height and need, Apache-180 would be good.
But I am not sure whether 120km daily would be right to travel with this bike, because of its gruntness.( IMO )... As said by Aryan Sir, you can also go for Bajaj 135LS. But here also daily commutation of 120Km is too much for asking from this bike. .. P220-F or S will be good if you look from overall perspective.. |

if you want light and good power to weight ratio+ want to beat every 150cc bike out there(excuding r15) go for pulsar 135Light Sports.
every thing is good about this bike & i own one it can make 0-60 and 0-100 faster then every 150cc and i am getting a mileage of 60kmpl which is a commuter class mileage with power of 150cc. my height is same as yours but i m 65kgs. |

man you have such a strong opinion from the start that it would be difficult to convince you for any bike.. but remember this - size and weight dont matter... if that would be the case, we wouldnt have 200+ kg machines being flicked around by 60kg riders.
The R15 suits you the best in terms of light weight and performance. but then you hate yamaha. Other option is to go to the 125 cc segment, which has the cbf stunner, which has a high saddle height in comparo. The P135LS, is a relatively new machine, so no idea on reliability and durability. ( since your commute is 120 kms or so ). The Apache 160 is a good machine, it should suffice what you are looking for.

Hi, My weight is ~55kg too. I learnt to ride on my friend's HH Splendor. So when i started riding my brother's P180 i was also anxious like you. While standing with the bike after removing the stand it felt so heavy. It was hard to balance the bike between my legs because it was putting too much weight on them.
But all that goes away the moment you start moving and your feet are off the ground. My weight or the bike's weight didn't matter. I ride pretty comfortably now. I think leg length might still be a problem, but weight IMO is not. So don't let your weight restrict your choices. |

have you considered the karizma r as you gonna travel on highway and city both and that too for 120km everyday so karizma r is excellent for city and traffic as it has excellent torque and its comfortable, so at the end of day you wont be tired with a long ride, as i have heard people doing 500 kms on karizma and are comfortable.

Since your concerned so much with your height and weight and then your hatred for Yamaha narrows your choices . With you looking for a combination of light wieght and looks your only left with RTR's and the Pulsar 135 .
Both the RTR and P135 are great bikes , but for 60kms of daily highway riding there are other better options available in the market. Is there any specific reason you hate the yamaha's ? The kind of bike you are looking for , Yamaha has it already in India , the R15. Its very light and powerful that the other 150cc's around . It's a great piece of engineering dude , if this fits your bill ,it would be no brainer choosing something else |

once you get used to riding, weight of the bike won't be an issue IMO...that said,RTR 180 is a good choice...even the 150cc brigade has some very fine machines on offer...
