  • less maintenance problems
  • mileage above 45
  • comfort
  • looks
I have zeroed in on
  • Unicorn
  • Apache RTR 180
  • CBZ Xtreme

and also I would like to know details regarding CB Twsiter and Pulsar 135.
I thought of going for the Apache, but people say it isn't much suitable for tall guys and might cause back pain on long drives . Would be waiting for your valuable suggestions.

Sarath

Firstly remove the cb twister and p135 from your list. They are mere looker bikes and with no power and average mileage.

Out of the above 3, the Unicorn would be my choice because its the smoothest, most comfortable and most mileage returning bike. But being a 'sportster' , you wouldn't like the pickup and torque. A back pain is absolutely no guarentee.

Leave the cbz extreme as its too old and is due for production stopping one of these days.

The rtr 180 has good looks, awesome pickup and low end and mid end performance is not that good but high end performance rocks... A mileage of 40 is assured. But the seats are not at all comfortable and the ride position guarentees a back pain.

Besides the 3, the only other bike I can think of, satisfying all your conditions is the FZ.(my own...)

It has low weight, and you can ride in any position and traffic, has the most comfortable seating among 150cc bikes, is the best looking 150cc and also maintainence is not very costly. If used in optimum, you can get 45-50 mileage as I do. So go for the fz.. or the unicorn.

Yup definately it feels bigger than apache..

And at high speeds on apache I got scared as it is very small and it was not much stable..

Whereas FZ is very stable at high speeds..

Apache is really good for Height somewhere in the range of 5-5.5 not more..

Default Apache

My 2 cents:

Whatever people have commented about Apache RTR 180 causing back pain is true especially for tall people. But there are many tall guys who ride Apache and they have no problem with the back pain.If your majority driving is going to be in city then no problem going for Apache also upto 200-250 kms drive its ok. But something beyond those drives in a single day needs consideration for your back.
Frankly I have driven these Unicorn,Hunk,FZ,Pulsar 150 and was never really impressed by the power delivery of these bikes(especially initial pickup was so boring)but the time I first tested Apache RTR 160 i really could feel the Throttle response, with just a blip of a throttle the sudden surge of power you can feel at your wheels (read it as excellent pickup) is the feeling one desires for more often. If RTR160 is having such a good throttle response you can definetely bet on RTR 180 for a better response.Amazing I would say, there is nearly no lag between the twist of throttle and the pickup you get from your bike. Thats the feeling which makes you feel about the bike being really powerful. It has excellent disc brakes the best of the above lot. After driving one gets bogged down by the boredom of the above mentioned bikes but the RTR's throttle response breaks the boredom for sure. There are some people who bash Indian brands just for the sake of bashing it because of there bias towards foreign brands.(No offence meant to anyone)But I have got excellent reliability from TVS product.

Wink go for unicorn

unicorn has better suspension and good pickup .better mileage 50 to 55 city and 60 + highways for me.comfort ride. i have uni for almost 2 years and its damn smooth and ultra silent .

cbzx is good in throttle response than uni but has bad suspension .my friend owns one and he doesnt like it.he loves my uni more.

apache rtr is not suitable coz u have big height.i am 6.1 and when i ride my friends apache it looks too small .

unicorn overall is big bike and very reliable as its honda.
