I am 6'2 feet tall and lean guy. Am a daily commuter, covering 30 kms daily . I am indeed a speedster. My budget is around 70k. Am looking for a bike
I thought of going for the Apache, but people say it isn't much suitable for tall guys and might cause back pain on long drives . Would be waiting for your valuable suggestions.Sarath |

Since you are just as tall as I am, pick between a CBZX and a Unicorn.
CBZ-More peppy. Unicorn-More stable, better handler. Apart from that nothing much to say. They both have the same engine, just tuned differently. PS: I own a CBZX, and I say with experience that its great

The Apache is undoubtedly a great bike. Had you been 5'6, i would have asked you to pick the RTR 180 immediately. But you are a tall man, and the RTR is pretty small for you.
However, do take a test ride before making any call. If you are comfortable on the RTR, buy it!

Hi Sarath, as kurtrules rightly pointed out, the Unicorn and the Xtreme have the same engine but the bikes are some-what different. The Unicorn has the mono-suspension but the Xtreme's engine makes a little bit more power(different state of tune I think). There is very little to choose between these two bikes but I personally would choose the Unicorn simply for its mono-suspension.
I don't think the Apache will manage above 45 kmpl. Besides, the bike's suspension is a little bit towards the harder side. The CB-Twister is a 110 cc bike that has been just launched by Honda. My friend has just booked a Twister and on-road, the price turns out to be 56k (disk brake version). It wont be as power-full as either the Xtreme or the Unicorn but will definitely be more fuel efficient. However the 150cc bikes will be more fun. Meanwhile the Pulsar 135LS has a different 4 valve engine. The 4 valves help the engine to 'breathe' better and the bike has a fine power to weight ratio. I don't have the information regarding the Pulsar's on road price. Look at the Bajaj website to know more on this. Glad to help. Cheers! |

Congrats Sarath. ..for deciding to go for ur 1st bike.... But I'm bit confused why Bajaj is not on that list. ....As All your requirements are well acknowledged by Pulsar 150 and somewhat 180 too !!The overall performance of UG4 versions of both of them are quite commendable . That Pulsar still has a major share in biking industry because of that !! Pulsar equates to power and performance at par with rivals, plus the new cool features gives it a style quotient(clip-on handle bars, and the slight increase in power to 15.06 etc). 150 manages 45-50 if managed well, whereas 180 gives 40-48 (Depends on your Ride Style off-course)I hear a lot of people rejecting Pulsar just because it too common on streets, But dude won't that accounts for its performance ?? ![]() In the end choice is always yours, Listen to all and decide whats the best for you.....Do post the pics after buying your dream machine !! Best of luck !

Rule out A180 for your Height...though its a great bike.
LEft out are Unicorn and Xtreme, Knee recess plays important role in a bike for tall guys. Me being above 6ft....have no option left in 150cc segment other than Xtreme. Uni doesnt have comfortable knee recess when compared to Xtreme. My Choice would be Xtreme. Fits your requirements perfectly.
