Ok Guys, Now it is decided that i am gonna buy RTR 180 or the new 2009 edition P220 dtsi. And Here are my last questions.
1:My height is 5 ft 6 in and slim built and I was not able to balance a still Unicorn with both legs on ground so is P220 good for me as it has same weight as Unicorn? 2:For comparison, what is the saddle height of Unicorn and P220 3:How can I reduce the weight of bike and what is the weight of P220 saree guard? 4:What is the Price(in Delhi) and mileage of RTR 180 and P220? honestly dude dont go for P220.....atleast the P220 DTSi as it will have fairing long handles , weight ........if u can find a P220S test ride it see if you can sit on it, check if the riding position on the bike suites you else check the same with RTR and without anty insult whats your age buddy why not wait and build little mussle and then go for heavier bike ........as they say the more weight you can sustain more control you have of your bike.....

0-100 of apache is faster than pulsar so if you want more street performance get RTR if you plan to tour then P220
Apache will give better mileage than Pulsar.. Pulsar 220 looks better than apache.. I Would have chosen Apache out of the 2 as I don't like 220..

1. 0-100 is rider dependent. But still, in the Bike India 0-100-0 tests, P220 was faster in the 0-100 and the overall 0-100-0 timings. A180 was fastest in 100-0 timings owing to lesser weight -> less inertia/momentum of travelling mass. Though, cornering is undoubtedly better on the A180 (if you upgrade to better tyres then definitely) But in highway performance and high speed day/night cruisability, the P220 is unbeatable. 2. Mileage again is rider dependent for both these bikes. But that point may well still be correct. 3. Agreed! ![]() 4. Look at what i chose. The choice depends upon your usage, your preference. P.S.: If you finally opt for the P220, Please stay away from the 'S' version as weight of both wont have much of a difference but the far better illumination on the 'F' version is worth paying the extra 3k for. Which BTW also gives you something that distinguishes a P220 from a P200/180/150.. i.e. the 'F'

To be frank your height & the bike's weight would not matter after u get used to the bike. You can also get the seat shaved a bit to lower the saddle height.
The P220 is a good machine. It is a decent handler & a very good highway cruiser. Can do speeds in excess of 140 kmph. Can give real life mileage figures of around 40-45 depending on the riding style. The best lighting available incase of the "F" variant. The RTR180 is also a very good machine. It is more track oriented & the riding posture is more on the aggressive side. Hence not suitable for highways. The brakes are comparatively better. Can do speeds of around 130 kmph. Returns about 45-50 kms per litre of petrol. Looks are totally subjective to an individual. If iam not wrong the RTR180 costs around 76k on road & P220 F costs around 80k on road.

as an overall package,P220 really scores above the RTR though I chose the latter due to more city riding...for hardly 4-5k more you get a better bike IMO though RTR is one hell of a machine to ride...have a TD and decide which one suits you more. You'll get used to the bike soon,so seat height etc etc won't matter much...

Do test ride both the machines and decide for yourself. Both these machines have their own virtues and are excellent in their own respective ways. |

here is my opinion about P220 mileage..
my 3 friends have p220 one being the older one and none of them gives more than 35.. however when you drive sanely keep the RPM below 5 then it gives 35 else it goes below 35.. also pulsar 150 gives around 45-54 pulsar 180 to 40-50 pulsar 220 to anywhere between 20-40 maximum.. one of my friends get 20 as mileage.. he drives insanely though.. even the showroom guys claim not more than 40 it will give
