Smile TVS Jive vs Honda Activa, for Dad, please advise.

Hello, Any one reviewed TVS Jive on this forum ? I saw add on TV yesterday and it looks unique bike, stop/start in any gear, WOW man !!!!

But its not very stylish, thank god they added curves to fuel tank otherwise it looks similar to Star City. We can buy stylish HH Passion in same price segment, thats why I'm so confused.

Style (HH Passion Pro) vs Comfort (Jive) vs Proven Reliability (Activa).

No way I will be buying HH Passion for dad coz its complicated for dad in city traffic. I'm just cursing TVS for average looks.

Please advise. TIA.

Test rode the Jive and tried all the jimmeckry it offers. A Honest & good attempt. Feels good & rides good. Seating & ride feels different (lighter) than the Star or Victor. You know what? it pulled up a gravel slope from the road to the showroom from standstill with two seated in 3 gear without a fuss. It pulled in 4th gear even but had to revv a bit like how we to for gearless scoots. No need to use the first two gears for regular commuting.

I am very much in favour of the New Activa. Lovely.

The choice is easy da. If your father wants a bike then Jive. Else Activa.

One more point - if your father & mother are on a little heavier side and have to ride through heavy traffic or ups & downs, the Jive & Suzuki Access fare better than the Activa (not to say it won't pull!). This is a point two of my friends faced and is even a concern for me if my father one day feels tiered to shift gears on his Chetak.

if your dad wants to cut through traffic without much effort and want a descent mileage of 45+ go for new honda activa.
if the only rqrment is to ride in traffic its your best bet!

Well the only thing new in the Jive is the gearbox.Rest of the package is proven and solid and won't bother you much. Go for it if you are inclined in getting a bike.Expect mileage of 55-60kmpl(going by what magazines has reported).

As for Activa, it is one heck of a superb scooter which keeps on selling like anything.Best scooter money can buy in this country, at the moment.

OT:What happened to TVS Wego.Seems like a formidable competitor to Activa but still no signs of it in the market.

why not look over Suzuki Access?
while purchasing a vehicle for my mother, i too narrowed down to activa and access
but found access much better than Activa... giving mileage of 50 a liter
and is also fun to ride with good acceleration...

Activa is also a good option, provided you are ready to wait for months to get it...
