Im really not looking for a daily major commute bike! In the sense, my car is doing pretty great!
But the deal is, i just started riding/learning on my friends bikes a year back...still a novice! Just know a few names here and there... But i have another year of college left and about 15K to spare..So im thinking of putting that into buying a bike! I have only been clear about the fact that i dont want a platina/cd dawn etc type of bike...Id rather take an RX or shogun etc! But i just saw online an offer for a yezdi 250 cl 2! Saw the bike..owner wants 17! Claims he bought for 6 and speant 11.5 on re-doing it! So he's not negotiating! Also refuses to let me keep it for a day or two. I rode it...It rides pretty well....But then the thing with yezdi's this one also has its far share of starting glitches...even during my test ride! Really confused if i should go for the RX a bike with blinkers, relativley easier to maintain, just easier to start..ride etc! But then the sound of a Yezdi 250.....that seems to be a clincher for me apart from the others Of course i understand tht i will be buying a hobby and not something tht can be expected to endure rough treatment but still i want to know all i can before i can make a serious decision. I dont mind doing this. all the input regarding pros and cons and also the things i should be carefull of are most welcome. |

i think you can go for yezdi...but you will have a tough time finding spares
![]() u can never get the the feel of a yezdi in any other bike... Ride it for few days and ul fall in love with this beast.. The model you mentioned is 250cl2,i thing you can do some more research on net and try to find a yezdi roadking with cdi unit[all models after 1993 had cdi]... |

Hi,
Good to know that you liked the Yezdi for the right reasons Its an awesome bike but it will take some time to master it. And that is why I think you will probably not enjoy it if this is your first bike and if you dont have the patience to go through all her "nakhra's" . If you are looking for a light weight, easy machine - go for a RX. If you are willing to go through some hard labour for a while :P then buy the yezdi and keep her for life. There won't be another bike like that ever again.

get the cdi yezdi, and you are good to go. if that person spent 11.5 doing it up, can you check what repairs/restorations has he done on the bike. Also if possible post a pic of the bike.
other than slight starting issues due to a choked carb, there isnt much trouble that a yezdi gives.
