Post I fixed up on unicorn.. Concerned about the choice of engine

Hi everyone.. I plan to buy a Unicorn in second hand.. but i get many models.. 2004.. 2005..2007.. many.. but i want to know whether honda made any developments in the engines of unicorns produced after 2005 coz i have two models of unicorn in hand.. 2007 (kinda lil too rough) 2005(strangely smooth) so i'm confused here.. did honda improved their engine after 2005 or 2007.. since its my first bike.. i want it to be perfect.. and want a very good engine with a decent mileage of about 50+ plz. help me.. or all honda unicorn engines are same irrespective of years?.. if there were any changes.. plz. let me know by posting in this thread here..

Ajay

buy a 2005 model as it is better than the latter alloy wheed one.. ask any honda svc guy and he'll tell u wat the diff is.. but if u get a alloy wheel model,u'll definately have good resale rather than the 2005 model.. but 2005 one's are faster than the alloy wheels(has to do something with the gearing) but the thing is 2055 is 5 years ago and the paint, parts, engine life remainin, etc should be looked int.. maybe for u the 2007 one would be a better option as it will be newer and will also look new with the mags,etc..

Technically, Unicorns engine has been left untouched since inception.....

You can go for any one depending upon the condition and deal...

this is a pretty late reply but still the first gen uni's engine is made in japan since honda didnt hav their own factories here at the time so u can rely on the engine build quality of this version the newer models were made in india :P
