People.. enough fighting over P135s reliability.. Has anyone here tried the Discover 150, seriously brought a smile to my face, after i personally did a Test Ride of a Dazzler, an FZ, an Apache, a P135 and a P150 back to back within 1 hour (while going showroom to showroom on my P220), the last bike i rode, the Discover 150, was the one which brought the biggest smile on my face, as the performance and torque I experienced were totally unexpected. At 51k OTR Pune, it was the cheapest of the lot by a large margin, which also happens to have the BEST midrange torque I experienced among all the test bikes. Function over form, I personally found the D150 a much better ride than a P135 as a city ride. Though i do agree with the fact that the looks are plain simple and it looks no different from a D100 with an added disc brake, but it surprises you as soon as you wring the throttle. None of the others were even close.

P.S.: I mentioned this in this thread as there is no thread for the 1st impression of the D150 and this is the most appropriate thread i found for writing this.

The launch hasn't been hyped as such, so we didn't see any promotion and/or new advertisement citing the same.

The upgrades may be very subtle, but has been done to make it BS x compliant with minor tweaks in looks department.

^^Where is the thread-starter?
to be honest with you i am also having the same question. Looks like the TS has put us in this Battle field & himself went into exile.

@thread starter:- I think now there are enough posts which show the pros & cons of both the bikes. Now let us hear or shall i say read your opinion. Which bike are you going for??

Sorry guys. went to hometown for the weekend. tw no reply.
Went to YAM showroom for testride. Disappointed. No Glad on display and no test rides. Showroom girls took my number and promised to call. Moreover they say YAM has stopped the color options dispalyed in their website and now have only 2 designs which are totally different.
Took P135 from my cousin for a ride. whenever i ride it i get attracted by it.
Engine performance is excellent.
But would like to take a test ride of Glad. and then decide.
Thanks for replies guys.

But i am still confused b/w the above two. Strictly within this two. No other choices. Which is better P135LS or YAM Gladiator?
go for gladiator.40-45 kmpl good riding position, good shock absorbers, reliable ytps technology which provides better mileage average .It can also easily pull from 30 in 5th gear.Top speed lesser then p135 (108 i think) but p135 has 4 valve engine maybe thats the reason behind better fe and top speed.but in my view yamaha bikes are long lasting and much reliable.I have myself seen 3 persons on glady reaching 90 kmph which is very good a 125cc bike.

Yamaha Gladiator has been discontinued. Source: Hindu Businessline

There is a new SS 125 and a lower priced YBR 125 now (which essentially have the same Gladiator engine)

My call will be P135 as well. You can't get a glady now since you have to choose from SS125 or YBR125. Regarding them, P135 is a better VFM.
