After 15yrs of owning n driving bikes like RD350, RE500, P180,P220, R15 , now I am on RE500 classic. I 've not enjoyed the ride till date on any other bike that i enjoy on RE500classic. Everything is comfortable and enjoyable whether driving smoothly at 20-30 or giving a quick throttle and goin like bullet. I still wonder why till date bike like this was not launched.

I'm in Love again!!

Here is my opinion.
If you are fond of riding and going on long trips, Royal Enfield organises trips to Goa (that I know of). With a Bullet, you get the chance to join a fairly vast motorbiking community. I have read about groups of Bulleteers riding together to such meets and enjoying themselves thoroughly, not to mention the sense of friendship and the sheer experience of travelling to newer places.

Plus, the Bullet has a good resale value, though as you pointed out, it needs care. The new UCE engines have been rated very highly especially by riders living abroad.

Buy the Bullet for a comprehensive motorcycling experience.
Buy a Karizma or R15 if you are more individualistic.

BTW: Harley did this in the US. Most Harley owners are members of the (worldwide) HOG and the sense of belongingness is something that makes them VERY attached to the ownership experience.

Also read the Bullet forums. Eg. Royal Enfield U.S. Community Forum - Index (for US Royal Enfield owners). The Classic 500 is sometimes rated higher than a Triumph Bonneville.

Confused?? Good. It means, you need to read a lot more before your heart tells you what to buy! Good luck!!

One Final Question,

Which one is the trouble free All rounder if i have to take the bike to the most deserted place

CBR250R or the RE 500 Classic ?
The news about honda is thrilling , similarly the riding experience my roommate narrates abt the desert rally organized by RE..

I'm now confused, may end up getting any of this two, may be which ever they deliver first.. got to visit RE guys tomorrow

thank you all for your timely response, apologize for not responding fast

Most likely that Honda will deliver earlier than RE.
