Depends on the manner of crash. Small tumble that scratch fairing, broken lights, mirrors etc. is okay. Crashes that twist forks, chassis, wheels etc. Better avoid it.

How do you know which? Thats another story.

Well an hour back i saw the bike and did a test drive.

these are what i found and plz help me...

The bike is perfectly okay although few scratch marks on silencer pipe and the plastics at tail. no broken headlamps, mirrors. no scratches on tank also. i checked the front forks and they are perfect not bent. breaks perfect. smooth acceleration and some rush past 6k. i didn't revved much as owner is in sitting back seat.

can any 1 ans these :

> in neutral that bike is only revving up to 10k red like is at 10.k i think? what's problem ?
> that bike doesn't have yamaha logo stickers on tank and back side ? can i get them ?
> rear rim is very little bend very very little bend. i asked him he said it's cuz of bumps ? i was like WTF ?

reason for sell : guy is leaving INDIA

- u revved it up to 10K in neutral?

- those stickers are easily available at a Yamaha spares shop

- how do you kno the rim is bent?

if the owner told you... then it's surprising he's being honest about it.
the downside is that you might end up losing air in the rear tyre.
a quick-fix is putting in a tube in the rear tyre.

if you found out the rear rim was bent coz of a "wobble" while you rode the bike... then it's more than a small bend.

and yes... your rims can get bent if you go into a ditch really hard.

- ya what's wrong bro ? i mean i started the bike and accelerated to make sure no smoke is coming from silencer...

- That's a good thing.

- i saw them...

here is a pic to tell clearly

That tire bent like this but not that much very very little no 1 can notice...
Does that hurt ? should i need a rim change ?

One small suggestion buddy :When you are ready to buy a used bike for 70k,which has already had its share of crashes. Why not pay the same amount for down payment and own a new one????Doesn't it sound more practical.Which ever you bike you are trying to own second hand, there will be 5-10k that you would be spending on it,through service(depending on the condition) ,transfer ,insurance stuff. In your case:Stickers(no idea about the price),alloy wheels(not less than 2500/-).How much ever you try to forget ,it will still be running at the back of your head that its not 1st hand. The feel of owning a first hand is entirely different buddy. Also has he used only 6200kms Over a span of (almost)3years??????Check the tyres you will come to know the reality. That alloy definitely needs a replacement. And gong by the looks of it ,it doent seem to one from the road hump, most likely one of the accidents.Think over again.Ultimately its your choice............

Thanks for you input buddy. what u said is 100% right but the reason i'm looking for a used bike is i won't use it for a long time. i ll use it for 9 months only. i'm leaving to canada. but planned some long rides in this gap . a good second hand bike is more practical for me.
