Exclamation Best comutour bike ?

Hi Xbhpians,

I am from Chennai. I am now in the process of getting out from my full time Job and gonna take my family business as full time. I am designing a marketing campaign to cover every tier 2/3/4 towns in every state one by one. This involves extensive touring and commuting ( Hence : Comutour bike). Every day i need to cover 200 kms (Highways and village roads).

Considering the following requirements :

Millage : 35 to 50 kmpl
Cruising speed : 70 to 90
It would a hard test for the engine because I will cover at least 3000 km per month.
Better seating position and comfort. My height is 175 cms
No pillion rider , It would be only me (97 kg) + my luggage 15 to 20 kg
My plan is to get brand new bike, No second hand. It would be single handed for ever

Advice me to get a good bike :

Choice : Enfield / Avenger / other

Thanks and Regards,

Enfield ..if you can put up with leaky engine, and moderate performance...other wise go for HH Karizma, with proven Honda Engine.
If you have no budget constraints, then Honda CBR250 or Kawasaki Ninja 250

go for unicorn.iam using it since its launch(first model).very reliable engine, very comfortable riding position.i think it is the best for highways.i mostly ride on highways.it is not a great looking bike,if u are ok with its design go for it.

next option is suzuki gs150.a bit heavy and difficult to move around in the city.very comfortable in highways also has 6th gear to cruise on highways

third option is yamaha szx/szr. better looking of the three and the engine is typical yamaha and fun to ride.also the lightest of the three

Bhai,

Yes, But even I had the same Id with few posts about My "Project la poderosa" . Me and a friend (former xbhpian too) were about to build a diesel v-twin cruiser.

After that lot of things changed :

1) xbhp got hacked ( I missed a lot of discussions we made about that project). I have those pictures collected in my picasa.
album1
album2
2) I got married, My son born (he is 3 years old now), I built a new home. The other friend also got married. We both settled(?) down , lost conact and vanished in corporate jungle. Financial constrains made us to postpone our project 'La poderosa' for a while.

3. I gained weight ( from 60 to 97).

4. I started my family business, it is growing and gained a reputation. Now it is time for me to come out from corporate jungle. Yes, I am on notice period now. In another two months I will be full time entrepreneur. It is time for me to unleash the rider with-in. This time I going to gain everything with out loosing my rider identity.
