The classic EFI wont make it to India is what they say, having said that I have seen those bikes at Manali with Indian number plates (and also a thunderbird with efi!)

PS: Buy the one which is less bulkier, it will help :P

The debate is between the Classic 500 and the Classic 350...

The classic 500 is an FI engine and it is available in India... The classic 350 is a carbed engine... Now I am not too sure whats the difference between FI and EFI...

Also both the classics (350 and 500) are exactly identical and the 500 is just 5 kgs heavier...

And the 350 WINS...!! A big thanks to all of you for your suggestions... And now the wait begins...

Went to the Bandra showroom today afternoon, took a test ride as my cousin is of a slight build and wasn't sure if he could handle it... Plucked the bike of the side stand, initially found it difficult... Started the bike and went on the ride with a million question marks on his face... When I saw his face a 100 metres away on his return journey it was split into a big fat grin and I knew the decision was made...

We promptly filled up the form and paid the Rs. 1000/- deposit for the maroon Classic 350... The bike is expected to enlighten our lives within the next 10 months...

The receipt...

But what I found funny was that these bikes do not come with a leg guard ... The bikes being as heavy as they are should come with a leg guard... In-fact any bike should... Especially this one because God forbid if you have a fall you will just get some leg pulp... They do not even have it as an optional accessory... I really found this very stupid... We have to buy a leg guard from the market and affix it... :s
