and about the apache...wow...i would love to have it but then the general perception of it bien a tad tiny for anybody over 6 ft..plus it has a sporty intent..so wont be very comfortable over a long distance...but all said and done..its a hoot to drive.
I see. You're somewhat right about Apache RTR 180- I tried the RTR series, and the riding position for me (Height: 6' 1") was somewhat cramped with not much space.
The footpegs were a bit forward and high, rather than rear and high but it seemed tolerable.

But, I think you're confused about Karizma. I'm NOT talking about ZMR as shown below:

I'm talking about this Karizma, the one shown below:

It looks fine, doesn't it?

Looks like this is starting to become a speculation thread

I think you have decided to wait already. So stick with the decision. Get some nice gear with it too.

As far as i know theres only one "Sports Tourer" sub 90k.... And thats the ZMA-R.
The rest like Fazer etc. Are just wannabie tourers.

Long is an understatement i call mine "IMPALA"
220S (without the fairing) is a good option too, considering mileage also.

Yes, I know. But still, Karizma has no complete substitute.

Karizma has a torquey engine with 3 gears short ratioed, and 2 long ratioed, with the 5th gear being quite tall, a very good windscreen, an engine under low state of tuning and revving which remains cooler than the competition, useful grab rail to attach luggage, etc.

P220 might be a better performer and has well spaced gears too. But, when I tested the P220 Fi, it heated up very quickly. And my experience with non-Pbk Bajaj service was below average.

I would say you make an informed decision and if possible wait upto September end. Although yes, P220 is a substitute to quite an extent. I would suggest you to get the naked P220 which is called P220S. You will save about Rs. 4000 and 4 kgs of weight, for that large fairing.
