Cool Long time rider researching for a new bike

I'm 6Ft tall lean built.

Requirements - Looks matter, performance as in easily maneuverable (handling should n't be stiff), shouldn't create backache after long rides.

Purpose - To n fro from workplace -traffic is moderate( distance : 10-15kms one way), odd tour trips (highway - once or twice a month covering 100-150 kms), odd trips to city(heavy traffic).

Previously had owned a Pulsar DTSi 150CC - so i don't prefer to go for Pulsar 220f - need a change.

My preferences as of now:

(1) Yamaha - Fz - Good on city roads, I hear it creates backache if you ride 'em for a long time.
(2) Yamaha - Fazer - Touring machine - I'm presently biased towards it, but read it's over priced just because it has fairing and R15 is better value for money than fazer (confused here).
(3) Yamaha - R15 - I LOVE IT - But,
a) Is gear shifting a major headache in traffic?
b) Performance wise this is the perfect machine, but considering i won't do more than 60-75kmph on every day commuting to office and i'm hearing the real pleasure of R15 kicks in after crossing 90Kmph. I havent taken a test ride yet, does it feel like a normal bike during the first 0-60kmph mark?

don't wants - cbr250 (too pricey), hero honda(hunks n karizmas - na just don't like it), rtr 180 (cute n small)

Question to you - Have you take a test ride on all these motorcycles?

Homework to you - Go through the ownership thread on R15, FZ & Fazer & in addition, go through for ZMA/R, RTR.

Dude, whenever asking for advice, at least let people know what your budget is...

Also, are you looking for a 150cc, 180cc, 220cc, 250cc bike?? You seem to be confused among different categories of bikes..

Since you have ridden a 150cc in the past, I would recommend you go for at least a 220cc bike to feel a real difference...

My vote for Karizma R / ZMR. Those machines are good for touring and for city commutes as well and look good which was your very first requirement.

Cheers!!

You will love handling of any bike if you ride for a long time and it is entirely subjective.
Eg: I hate handling of RTR's which is known for its easy flickability.

Both are different bikes...
My preferences as of now:

(1) Yamaha - Fz - Good on city roads, I hear it creates backache if you ride 'em for a long time.
Bad pillion comfort, Guys have done saddle sore in FZ so cant comment on the backache part!!!
(2) Yamaha - Fazer - Touring machine - I'm presently biased towards it, but read it's over priced just because it has fairing and R15 is better value for money than fazer (confused here).
I personally like FZ more than Fazer, and if FZ will create backache...Fazer will do the same
(3) Yamaha - R15 - I LOVE IT - But,
a) Is gear shifting a major headache in traffic?
b) Performance wise this is the perfect machine, but considering i won't do more than 60-75kmph on every day commuting to office and i'm hearing the real pleasure of R15 kicks in after crossing 90Kmph. I havent taken a test ride yet, does it feel like a normal bike during the first 0-60kmph mark?
Please define a normal bike
Jokes appart, you wont feel any hickups dude as you were riding a P150 before. This one is my choice from the lot.
don't wants - cbr250 (too pricey), hero honda(hunks n karizmas - na just don't like it), rtr 180 (cute n small)
Please find my responce in bold!!!

These days we're too witnessing people asking questions!!! Most people ask a question for the sake of asking just when they've a flash of thought of buying a ride. Most of them are typical commuters. For most commuters there's an excellent tool - xBhp.com : What Bike
