  • New R15 v2 or Old Joeled R15?

Well, I already own a 1 year old Yamaha r15 old and I just took a Test Ride and DAMN! I was impressed...I was not impressed about the looks but the initial pickup and I like it..The bike is very smooth as compared to the old one

After the test ride an idea came to my mind to sell my yamaha r15 and get the new Yamaha r15 v2...Which is just 1 lakh 7000 on road....So i might have to add addition 40k i guess(Not sure for how much my bike can sell for)

So please let me know should I spend tht extra money to "Joel" it or should I go for the new R15

Why sell a 1yr old R15? Get it joeled. Specially, since there is no performance enhancement in the v2.
Yeah, if you had an older bike, then selling it made sense.

        ++1 to that
Makes more sense to get it joeled, except for the feel of the power delivery and the looks nothing has changed in the new r15
and with joels entire r15 kit you will find it to be more responsive in the lower revs than the v2
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, 'Wow! What a Ride!' -Hunter S. Thompson

Err, no brainer dude, get the kit from Joel, if you want get the chain, swing arm, sprocket, rear wheel and tyre set from the V2 and have a HUGE grin stuck to your face, Ninja territory at half the cost!

If you're even a bit bored of your bike, go for the new one. You will still have the chance of Joel-ing.
But if you're happy with the way it is, I'd Joel it.

My opinion: get the new r15 v2, enjoy it for 6 months. Get it joeled which wont be a costly affair.

My opinion don't do anything right now. Wait until the 2012 Auto Expo and what it can offer & then choose wisely as what you need to do. Impress friends and others with look go for the new own. If you are an average rider & not a racy one, settle for V-2.0 . On the other hand, want to feel real power and ride on the edge, get Joeled. If you get Joeled take it to a Race Track, then you will totally appreciate it.

                    go for V2 Joeled R15
It a very personal choice man.Hot rodding has it pros and cons..The very same has been discussed else where.
If you have the money go for the CBR like Satyam suggested

Where did the CBR come into the equation?

Whilst I like the CBR, it's hardly 'the proper' ugrade.

The dude already has the V1 R15, now what is your purpose with the bike, if you want just to be a show off then V2 is a good option, now if you want to mod your V1, Joel's kit is sweet, this all depends on you and how far you want to take the mods, if you want a CBR, then get a CBR.

I personally have a V1 with some mods from Joel, the bike is very quick, it serves my purpose and I will keep it for a few years, until I get a 'proper' upgrade, which nothing suitable for me is available here at this point.

Go get it Joel-ed only if you are a racy-rider. No point in buying the V2.0 as ur current bike would get you around 60k and you would have to add the rest for a new bike that would depreciate soon.

Better to wait until the Auto Expo, for KTM Duke and other new arrivals.

Moreover R15 V2.0 is not an upgrade worth enough for a current R15 owner. From a Performance to cost perspective yes the CBR 250 is the best available upgrade to-date, for an old R15 user.

Pimping up your ride may not work out for you, If you have a mind set for modds you would have never chosen the R15 V2.0 in the 1st place.
