The slower the vehicle, the quicker it can turn

Noticed how pedestrians, cyclists, rickshaws and auto-rickshaws can so suddenly move in right into your path? They move slowly and sudden direction changes are not a problem for them.

Question URGENT! Scooter Needed for Student with Best Mileage

I'm a student and I need a scooter for total daily Commute Of 30KMs...My Budget is around 50-57K..Since bikes aren't allowed in our high-school...so i need a scooter to commute to school daily which is around 15Kms from my home...Since the roads here are bumpy due to construction of six lane,so I need good suspension preferably...And I'm a complete newbie to the world of motorcycles...I've also driven my friend's ACTIVA a couple of times...And,More mileage gets more prefernce!!!
    1.Budget is upto 57K
    2.I'm a 5.6 guy weighing 60kGS
    3.CC's don't matter much
4.30-35 Kms of travelling almost everyday
5.I ride most of the time Alone
    6.I prefer TVS or Honda
7.Want a good mix of Style and Mileage
    8.I live in Jamshedpur
9.This is my first venture in the world of bikes

I think you should look at the TVS Wego as a solution to most of your problems.

This comparo should help you shortlist

Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

I suggest you to get the new Dio. Looks contemporary and stylish. The 109cc engine is a gem and is more fuel efficient than any other scooters.

    i suggest mahindra rodeo.
since you mentioned about bumpy roads it will make you satisfied.

    fully loaded.
make sure you do your run in properly. never cross 40 and use the accelerator lightly for the first 1000 km. there after you can increase the speeds
but first and foremost the engine needs to get sealed properly during breaking it in. any scoot or bike for that matter.
the rodeo is fuel efficient too. that said no scooter will be efficient if you ride it hard. be it activa!

my uncle bought a flyte and he is glad he did not buy the heavier activa.

happy hunting or should i say happy shopping

First thing, you said you are in a school? How old are you? It may not be illegal to own a scooter, but riding without licence is surely not good.

Second, your budget is enough for any scooter. Considering the bad road conditions you require telescopic suspensions which is not present in dio/activa, the cost of ownership may be less but the price of maintenance is costlier than others so its really not worth option unless you have resale in mind. Remember here you will be buying an relatively outdated technology, not for its ride comfort but for looks and good resale value. Same goes for Suzuki Access which is little pricy and heavy for you.

TVS wego and Mahindra rodeo Rz are two cool options which come with good suspension and road clearance, great stability while riding. So I suggest you test drive both. Mileage in rodeo is little better also its lighter feel to ride. Choice is yours.

Remember: Always wear a helmet, and no stunts please.

Scooter for High-School ? Are you eligble for a license? I would rather if people proceed with their suggestions after you clarify this...

I think you qualify for a gearless under 50CC vehicle under our archaic laws.

    First license then riding.

XBHP promotes safe riding which includes following the rules. ( I think )
Live to ride.. ride to forget..

Age-old suspension doesn't mean it is disintegrated. Its still good and does well on our roads. I have used both Activa and Aviator; though Aviator has new-age front telescopic suspension, its on stiff side and it feels as good as the linked-suspension of Activa at slower speeds. Only at high speeds the suspension of Aviator feels superior. Dio has the same suspension, and unlike Activa, has better dynamics (handling).

If you want telescopic suspension, you can go for Aviator. Looks decent and built for male sex. The seating position is excellent than any other scooter and the leg space and boot space is very spacious and practical. The 109cc engine of the Honda is superior than any other scooter engine and is more reliable and fuel efficient.

If you don't like the above, as you liked, you can go for Wego.
