Default Which Bike ?? (150cc and above)

Basically i live in dubai and moved to india for my studies a year back...and have decided to buy a bike...i know how to ride a bike and stuff....but have no idea which bike to go for....i love cruisers but the fact is that i am tall and really thin so they dont suit me...and i am not a fan of half faired bikes....milage not a prob...price 80-90k...dont have to buy it before jan...just like to be informed beforehand...so if there is a bike which is gud and might be released before jan pls feel free to mention it and i will keep and eye out for it...

PS Has to be 150cc or higher

Cheers,

If you could extend your budget by 20k you could check out the RE Thunderbird Twinspark with UCE.
Since you are not into half faired bikes, that leaves you with Apache RTR Efi, Yamaha Fz16.
I d root for the RTR eFi or if you have got the dough and are not concerned about the way you look on the bike UCE thunderbird it is.

Why dont you have a look at the new GS150R from Suzuki?
Their website still doesnt have much info, but you could probably check blogs like gs150r.blogspot.com for more info. The bike looks quite decent.

Other options including the Pulsar 150, Unicorn 150 and the HUNK. I would personally have a serious look at the GS150R though

if you are looking at performance then i would suggest you apache rtr FI, pulsar 200, karizma R series.
styling and handling wise FZ16 packs a lot.
unicorn is good for engine but the build i felt its not that rugged compared to others.
other 150s are just entry levels so they are choices of commuters.
if you are inclined for bullet i suggest electra 4 speed.

i too was in the similar situation, short list your options and it will be easy to decide.

i am indian so purchasing a bike here shudnt be a problem...the only bullet i like is the thunderbird and that is outta my price range...dont mind the rtr efi at all...i find it to be a brilliant bike...my frnd owns the non efi version...also i need a bike which is fairly comfortable seein as me and my buddies go for long drives (around 3-4 hrs) every weekend...i usually borrow a pulsar 150...and am not a fan of it...also i have heard rumours of the apache rtr 180 menace...comin out anytime soon ?? Also i have been reading up on the avenger and have found mixed reviews...opinions ??

@Silent~Chaos
Pls take a look at the Suzuki GS 150R. Something tells me that this would be a good fit for your requirement. Also, in that price range you have the unbeatable ZMA.

Then you have the FZ16 and then the RTR FI.

I have given you stuff in an order weighing comfort and cost considering your requirement.

So i have basically brought it down to the FZ and apache fi...but performance wise i have heard apach is better than the FZ...but the fz has a higher torque...this may semm like a noob qs but how does torque effect a bike ?? and looks wise the FZ totally blows the RTR...but then again more often than not i have a pillion rider...so the FZ seat being small will it be a hindrance...and as i was reading up on th apache i found out that there is a problem with the pickup below 4k due to a hole in the airbox or sumthin...easy to fix ?? ah god..problems problems
