  • Decession based on quality of Service Center in Mumbai HH or Yamaha

    Greetings !

I am on the look out for a bike 150cc category and upwards.
One of the important factors for me is a good service setup.
In Mumbai Yamaha has setup its own service setup in Malad if I am not wrong. Its not a dealer run one I mean. Its company owned operated.
Also have a HH Fortpoint service close by.

In past I had a Shogun which got badly screwed coz the service center I took too, was only interested in making money and tottaly screwed up my bike. Thats why giving such importance to which unit has a decent service setup where the mechanics know their job.

For example Hyundai Motor has its own setup in Mumbai and we have always got great service from them.

I see Suzuki at present does not have a decent service setup in Mumbai. I mean South Mumbai upto Bandra. Thats why I wouldn't consider any Suzuki bike no matter how great the bike would be.

I need feedback on HH and Yamaha service centers and places around Mumbai where you folks would have got great service or otherwise.

Your feedbacks would really help me make an informed decession.

At present I have TVS F2 and have no complaints but their service could have been better. Also they don't sell as many bikes hence I feel their service center can give a decent service.
    Had Suzuki Shogun
    Have TVS Fiero F2

One of the important factors for me is a good service setup.

It's very difficult to say anything concrete about svc centres as they keep changing with times (my personal experience). And remember, svc center has to make extra money to pay rentals/powerbill/salaries for their employee etc etc so every svc center essentially make profit, otherwise they simply don't exist !!
I would suggest you to buy a bike which has more svc centres within your reach, according to me numbers really matter. Free svcs could be done at place where you buy the bike and if not satisfied you can keep hopping to the other nearby auth. svc stations and you can keep hope on others.
In my case I have Ambition(5 year old) and xtreme (still under free svc), so far I have used svc of three svc station in my area. In 3 km radius I have access to about 8 HH svc centres, so I have choices and can call shots as per my needs and experience !! Even to me svc was main criteria to choose bike, there was only one Yamaha svc station within 6km radius, and I got 'bad' feedback about the svc center cum dealer, so I avoided Fz and instead bought Xtreme, and I have no regrets whatsoever.

Go for HH 150cc bike like Hunk/Xtreme, you will find svc'ing is NOT a big worry but first check out number of svc centers around your house (3 kms radius).
As I said NO svc center remain same over a period of time be it TVS/Bajaj/HH/Yamaha. Some experience/s makes us feel they are not good after a while (could be a fault of them or may be 'ours')
