hi eveyrone ... am a newbie on this site ....

nd in so less tym i have learnt quite ample of things regarding bikes .....

but this time i need you all to help me .... because m going to book a bike

my prev. bike was P 150 classic

so for new bike ive finalised on r15 karizma r nd p220....
though i am nt a person who will b able to carry a complete fibre body like r15 nd its too expensive according to me coz of skinny tyres nd 150 cc ...

buh tats my opinion .... no offence to ne of its owner
coz its one of the best bikes produced in india .... PEACE


so the leftovers are karizma R nd P220 dtsi....

my requirements :

noticible on roads....
should be fast....
looks
stylish
relialibility nd after service

help me out ... guyzz...

m in a bit hurry because i cant wait now ...
so pllzz suggest smthin .....

Brother, except Karizma R, Yzf R15 and P220 u have many more bikes in ur option list too..e.g. P200 09, Apache Rtr 160efi, apache Rtr 180 menace, FZ-S, Fazer etc!

But before explaining you which one to go for and which one not to go for i would like to know
1. You are a daily commuter or tourer or stunter or a mixture of all three?
2. Mileage is a concern for you?
3. You are going to book a bike as soon as possible or u can wait till dis diwali?
4. After sales service is of ample importance to you?

@TC - go through the what bike section , there are around 4 Zma vs 220 threads . if you wanna know know something specific then please elaborate .

If you can wait then do wait till atleast new Zma is released

yeah i noe that thr r other bikes but that are nt included in my list due to big bike feel factor ...
fz' r damn common in my city nd i dont want to go for apachez....

R15 is aslo outta my list ... due to budget it seems

nd i have to choose between zma R nd 220 dtsi...

1.m a daily commuter .... nd a stunter ... buh ill nt b stuntin on this bike nd ill b touring to a mere 600 km .... once in a year :P
2.mileage is nt a concern should b above 30
3.i cant wait till diwali....[ZMR is xpected to b out on 21 sept .... showroom guys told me ... but tat would again cost a lakh..... nd m not in mood to spend 1 lak
4.after sales service is a bit important to me....


i have been to every zma and 220 threads but still i cannot decide

new zma will be out on EID or dussehra according to showroom people in lucknow ....
but still i dont believe

and new zma will cost sumthing around 1 lakh .... so it will be out of my budget

and i wont be waiting for that long....

I would suggest you to go for the P220 Dts-i ... right away! Grey color is awesome in my opinion.

Karizma is an AWESOME bike .. you should read the travelogue of mr. praveenkm to know more. But... Its old.

P220 would get you noticed, has ample power, and is absolute value for money.

Looks: even though P 220 will be popular choice in style i believe the looks and styles is different for different persons , i know many who loves the look of P200 more than p220 , for some Fz looks better than R15 (may be becz they are more towards muscle bikes). So cant comment about styles and looks Decide it yourself about which is the best looking and stylish bike according to you .

Noticeable on Road : I think P 220 will get more looks on the road since Zma is here for around 6 years(neglecting soem sticker upgrade) . But we cant deney the fact that well polished Zma will draw a lot of attraction.

Fast : P 220 is the fastest bike you can buy now . No doubt it will beat all the bikes on road even though R 15 can give a close fight . Zma cant catch a P220 once it crosses 80 (Till 80 ZMa will be there head to head ).


Reliability and after service : Zma without any doubt . It is a much proven performer . New P 220 is much improved in reliability department but still my bet is on ZMa when it comes to relaibility.


More than this you have to consider many other things like

1.Are you more in to racing or spenting time on tracks more than touring?

2. Do you like a Raw power machine with a louder exhaust or a smoother bike with less vibrations but with less top speed?

3. Is top speed and accelaration more important than relaibility for you ?

First find out your requirments and then go for the bike ..

Looks/Styling/Noticeable : I would personally rate Karizma over P220, Zma according to my eyes is more proportionate and well styled than P220.
Realiability/Svc/After sales : Hero Honda has proven it over decades.
Fast : Karizma can prove 'n' no. of times that it can hit true 125 kmph, P220 DTSi is yet to prove it's top end (whatever claimed) under speed gun/GPS/prof. equip. (speedo readings are just funny!!)

Go for Zma-R !
