  • Apache FI vibes in high speeds and GS 150R is better than FI?

    Hi,

No doubt Apache FI has great looks and equipeed with good technology. Only thing where I am getting confused is - Apache FI vibes at high speeds and not advisable for long rides (because fo sitting position).

In my list I have only two bikes Apach FI and Suzuki GS 150R. Not sure which one I have to purchase.

Thanks in advance for your valuable comments

Go for the GS 150R. It has a very relaxed seating position and is comfortable for long rides for both the rider and pillion.

first of all the apache RTR FI NEVER vibes at high speed...(if you consider 70-75kmph as HIGH speed than you're right)

the VIBRATION area of apache FI is from 5200-6500 in RPM's and 58-75 in kmph after that the engine becomes smooth....though not as smooth as the super commuter,no frills thrills at all GS150R.....

the choice is simple, if you want a sports bike....go for the FI and if you want a commuter with little more poke go for the GS 150R

First things first, this is not a fair comparison/options to look for. Both the bikes are world apart in character. Apache is far more sporty and is a mean machine when it comes to performance and handling. So one has to sacrifice something for the sake of the above mentioned virtues. Yup, the Fi is not a super smooth machine where one can ride all day without complaining.

Whereas the GS150 is a one step above from other 150ccs(not considering R15).It is fairly refined has superb highway crusing ability, a fuel efficient mill and above all stress free riding posture.Keeping your requirments in mind, the GS suits you the best.

GSR is great choice it's the best package in 150cc segment along with Unicorn. You could consider Unicorn as well....vibrations on RTR is very common, so common that people are dubbing 'vibration' as a 'character' !

I would generally ignore heavily biased comments and go take a test ride either of the bikes. GSR is a much much better choice than Unicorn anyday. Take a test ride of the FI too and decide after that , if its "vibrations" or indeed "character".

i like the RTR for the response and the hooliganism it inspires in one. The GS is 150cc refinement and comfort. So test drive both and then draw a verdict.

But testdrive bole to , a good 4-5 kms plus. not just around the block and back like the dealers generally do.

Really the riding position is Sporty and wont hurt if yr height is 5.10 above.. I too heared the Vibs thing and decided to go for a Highway ride.. I throttled it close to 97kms/hr and i experienced is NO VIBS ISSUE.. so u can surely invest yr money on it..

RTR Rocks .The Gs is NO match for a Unicorn in the Comfort department.I have ripped a brand new RTR to its limits for over 30Kms no vibes its as vibe free as my CBZ Xtreme.

CBZ Xtreme gives lots of vibrations too, BSmotoring in a review mentioned that the pillion footpegs of CBZ Xtreme vibrate like a cellphone on vibration mode and i have experienced it too after riding one, i even test rode the RTR Fi, vibrations are really bothersome, u start thinking more about the vibrations and wonder why it cannot be curbed, RTR Fi is a good bike but vibrations spoil the riding experience to an extent
