  • Fake LS2 and AGVs?

    Hi Guys,

I recently went shopping for a set of proper lids to upgrade from my existing Vega. Frankly speaking, I never had any experience with the "premium" helmets except for my friend's LS2, which I had borrowed for a 2-day trip. I visited a number of shops in Bangalore - came across gazillion varieties of lids. LS2 helmets ranging from 2800 to 4000, AGV helmets ranging from 8000+, Arai ones priced at 15000+.

What I want to know - how genuine are these? Considering the facts that labels, trademarks and even holograms are blatantly and shamelessly copied openly, how can I assure myself that I have purchased a genuine product? I have zeroed in on a particular LS2 helmet - priced at around 3000 bucks but I want to ensure that I am buying a genuine product. Are there any "trusted" shops anywhere in Bangalore?

    P.S. : I do not want to buy online - I want a proper trial-and-choice before purchase.

Biking is not about how many Km/h you put on your Speedo. It's about how many miles you put on your Odo. Ride Safe, Ride Long!

Check Balaji Helmet Paradise in KH Road (i guess) near SBM.
      I own LS2 Phobia (red) since 2011.

They even provide warranty card for the helmets if you crack it in a accident they will replace it (that's what they told me).

AFAIK, the most trusted helmet shops in bangalore are Helmet Paradise (near Urvashi theater), Orion motors (near Forum mall) and Lets Gear Up (At HSR Layout). Dont go to stores near JC road as they usually have fakes or substandard products.

One main difference between original & fake is that the fake LS2/AGV will usually have ISI mark on them. The original will have either ECER certification or DOT approved stickers and will NOT have ISI mark.

Which LS2 model have you decided on? I think you can try bargaining to reduce the price since most LS2 helmets are lesser than 2.8k.

Helmet Paradise is the guy I was referencing! And yes, the LS2 didn't have ISI mark on it. I finally bought a FF350 Cartoon 2 Matt Black. Price after bargaining: Rs.2650.
Posting some images of the same helmet from the net: (all credits to the original sources)
