  • What parts should i buy for fitting clip-on handlebar in pulsar 200?

Hey guys, Now in my place (sri lanka) pulsar 180 ug4 available. i want to fit its clip-on handle bar to my pulsar 200. so can any one give me a list of wanted parts to do this?

Today i went to bajaj main dealer in sri lanka and they said i have to buy even power switch to do this modification. is that true?
Also he said all parts will cost 20,000k ( in SL Rupees)

        Two ways to do this:

        1) Get the central plate and the clip-ons of the 180. The central plate has circular recesses for the forks. As the 200 forks are smaller in diameter, you will have to get some mechanic to fit/weld some metal into the recess so as to make the 200 forks fit tightly (properly). This method is not too reliable.

        2) Change to the entire front assembly of the 220/180. Get the front forks and the central assembly+ clip-ons. This setup is a direct fit onto the 200 frame. An xbhp member : dual disc 200 has already done this, you could ask him. Costed him ~10K INR total.

        Edit:
        Go here : http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/pit-stop...y-partner.html
And check out pages 9-10 onwards. Has pics for reference.

the new 180 that has been launched there, doesnt it have the same front forks as the previous 200???

I think the top plate and handlebars are all that you would need to change. you can also ask some one to check the pricing here, and courier the parts to you, if you feel that the dealer is overcharging.

I guess you are right. i heard that P180 UG4 Clip-on handle is a direct fir for pulsar 200 from this forum. top plate and handlebars price is ok for me. can any one verify it is a direct fitment or not?

Because the bajaj guys said ther is no returns after the buying items

The new 180 (UG4) does not have the same forks as the 200. It has the thicker 220 forks and so, will not be a direct fit.

What about the welding thing? can you give a complete guide and part list for that? is it good to do?

you dont need to weld, but you need a metal bush, that will fit over the thinner fork, and then the top plate can clamp around it.

what about the p135 clip-ons? If the fork assembly of 135 and 200 are same, then u might not need much modifications..
