  • need help to find correct valve for a alloy wheel to mount a tubeless tyre.

    HELLO MATES,

i have a pulsar 180 dtsi ug2 with 17 inch alloy wheels.originally it came with 2.75*17 inch front and 100/90 r 17 rear tube type tires from MRF.

now after 30,000 kms i brought a new pair after some research .
    front-r 15s front tyre 80/90 r 17 tubeless.mrf.
    rear-120/80 r 17 mrf vyde tubeless.

now as i already saw personally to install tubeless tyres in a pulsar alloys which originally came up with tube type tyres i took the tubeless type as an upgrade.

now the problem is i was unable to find proper valves for my alloy wheel.i brought these but these are of no use.....as these are too big and the diameter is bigger then the original hole in the alloy wheels valve area.here is the picture.

now i know there are a type of valve that is available in the market which is smaller in diameter and looked kinda like this one.............

now the problem is i am unable to find a valve like this as a result i am currently running my new tubeless tyres with tubes and i am hating that.

    please i need help gurus.
\availability of the valve i need.
    price of the valve.
if any one can send the valve to my home in via courier i am ready to pay the expense. i am from westbengal.

the tyres guys grind the hole to make it a bit bigger unless the valve is very big /for cars . have seen that being done on many rims . why didnt you get that done

Dont do that i got the size of the hole increased now the air is always leaking.
Then i got a new thing done i got the normal tube valve available as spare easily and got it fitted by putting a rubber packing in the same manner as the second valve you have shown. Now there will be a gap in between the hole and the valve ask the tyrewala to put their solution with white tape used to put as packing in taps etc and after the solution is dry it will be fine i did this for both the tyres on my Apache
Never upgrade without getting your basics RIGHT.

I know it by the name White Tape itself it is not sticky, it will be available at most of the hardware stores. Its very safe no air leaking. Additionally the tyrewala had also put black coloured thick rubber solution which dries up and does the job.
I will upload the pics tomorrow.

Why dont you try some bike's valve, like RTR 180 or FZ or R15. Rim holes are more or less same for these bikes. Secondly if you found any gap inbetween, try BONDTITE (RAPID) a product from Resinova, cost only Rs.20.00. Which defenetly seal the air.

kauria, the fz and r 15 comes with car type valves which are wider,in fact more or less all new bikes with tubeless tyres are coming with car type valves,,,,,,,,

is it the gasket sealant?silicon selant? or its a mix of 2 tubes which is used to seal glasses?
